ROUND 15: * 1 dc, skip 1 dc *, repeat from *-* = 8 dc.
Fill a little cotton wool in the head and crochet the opening at bottom tog by working 4 dc through both layers – do not cut the thread but continue with the body.
BODY:
Continue back and forth in stripes as follows: 2 rows off-white and 2 rows light pink alternately. First work 1 row with 2 dc in each dc = 8 dc. Now work 1 dc in each dc, but on every other row inc 1 dc each side by working 2 dc in the outermost dc until there are 16 dc on row. Work 20 rows with 1 dc in each dc. Now dec 1 dc each side on every other row by skipping the last but one dc each side until there are 10 dc left on row, cut the light pink thread and continue with the off-white thread for legs.
LEG:
Work 1 dc with off-white in each of the first 4 dc, turn with 1 ch and work dc back and forth on the 4 dc until leg measures approx 10 cm, cut the thread.
Crochet a similar leg on the first 4 dc at the bottom on the other side of body.
FOOT:
Crochet 4 ch with black and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: 6 dc in ch-ring
ROUND 2: 2 dc in each dc = 12 dc.
Continue in the round with 1 dc in each dc until foot measures approx 3.5 cm, fill a little cotton wool in the foot and crochet it tog, i.e. place foot double and work dc through both layers (= back of heel). Crochet 1 more foot in the same way and sew feet to each leg, let the feet stick out to the side.
ARM:
Crochet 4 dc with off-white at the top along one side of body, then work 4 dc on the back of these = a total of 8 dc. Continue in the round with 1 dc in each of the 8 dc until arm measures 5 cm, cut the thread.
HAND:
Change to light pink. Work 1 round with 2 dc in each dc = 16 dc. Work 3 rounds with 1 dc in each dc, then 1 round working 2 dc tog all the way round. Cut the thread, fill a little cotton wool in the hand, tighten thread round the 8 remaining dc and fasten.
Crochet 1 more arm + hand in the same way on the other side of body.
EAR:
Crochet 5 ch with off-white and form a ring with 1 sl st.
ROUND 1: 6 dc in ring.
ROUND 2: 1 dc in each of the first 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc and 2 dc in the last dc = 8 dc.
ROUND 3: 1 dc in each of the first 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc and 2 dc in the last dc = 10 dc.
Continue in the round with 1 dc in each dc until ear measures approx 5 cm, now work 2 dc tog all the way round = 5 dc, cut the thread, tighten round the remaining 5 dc and fasten. Crochet 2 ears and sew them to the top of head.
FACE:
Embroider eyes, mouth and whiskers with black and snout with light pink. Sew a couple of long stitches with light pink at the front bottom of ears – see picture.
