Knitted egg warmer and serviette ring in DROPS Karisma. Egg warmer is worked as a christmas hat and serviette ring is worked as a christmas scarf. Theme: Christmas

Materials: DROPS KARISMA from Garnstudio
50 g colour no 18, red
50 g colour no 01, off-white

For 1 egg warmer you need approx 25 g in total and for 1 serviette ring approx 15 g in total.

DROPS DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES size 4 mm - or size needed to get 21 sts x 28 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
DROPS DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES size 3 mm – for garter st.

GARTER ST (in the round): K 1 round, P 1 round.
PATTERN:
See diagrams M.1 and M.2. The entire pattern is worked in stocking st. Choose between M.1 or M.2

EGG WARMER:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 36 sts with 2 threads off-white on double pointed needles size 3 mm. Work 10 rounds GARTER ST - see above. Change to double pointed needles size 4 mm and complete piece in 1 thread. Work 6 rounds stocking st in off-white and now work either M.1 or M.2. After 1 vertical repeat of M.1/M.2 continue in red. On next round K2 tog all the way round = 18 sts. K 1 round and then K2 tog all the way round again = 9 sts. Piece now measures approx 14 cm. Cut the thread, pull through remaining sts, tighten and fasten. Fold up the bottom garter st edge.

BOBBLE:
Cast on 3 sts with off-white on 1 double pointed needle size 4 mm. K 1 st and then work bobble as follows: Work 5 sts in 1 st as follows: K1, 1 YO, K1, 1 YO, K1, now work 6 rows stocking st back and forth on these 5 sts, on next row lift 2nd st over first st, 3rd st over first st, 4th st over first st and 5th st over first st = 1 st, K 1 st and cast off in P sts from WS.
Sew the bobble to the top of egg warmer.

SERVIETTE RING:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 36 sts on double pointed needles size 3 mm with off-white. Work 4 rounds GARTER ST - see above. Change to double pointed needles size 4 mm and now work M.2. After M.2 change back to double pointed needles size 3 mm and off-white. Work 4 rounds garter st and cast off. Fold ring double and sew tog round the edge.

TASSELS:
Cut 4 threads off-white measuring approx 13 cm each. Fold them double and pull loop through a st (through both layers) in the first garter st row. Attach the 3 other tassels in the same way so that there are 4 tassels in total at the front of the ring.
