Crochet slippers for children and adults in DROPS Snow and DROPS Glitter. Socks are worked as Christmas slippers with pompoms. Size 35 - 43. Theme: Christmas

Foot length: 22 - 24 - 27 cm
Materials: DROPS SNOW from Garnstudio
150-150-200 g colour no 08, red
50 g for all sizes colour no 01, off-white
And use: DROPS GLITTER from Garnstudio
2 spools colour no 08, red

DROPS CROCHET HOOK size 6 mm – or size needed to get 12 dc = width 10 cm.
DROPS BUFFALO HORN BUTTON no 536:
2 pcs.

DECREASING TIP:
Dec 1 dc at the end of row by turning piece when 1 dc remains on row.
INCREASING TIP:
Inc 1 dc at the end of row by working 2 dc in the last but one dc.

SLIPPERS:
Crochet back and forth from toes towards the heel, and sewn tog mid upper foot afterwards.
Crochet 5 ch (includes 1 ch to turn with) with crochet hook size 6 mm with 1 thread red Snow and 2 threads Glitter (leave approx 30 cm thread end and use this to sew slipper tog afterwards).
ROW 1: Skip the 1 ch closest to the hook, crochet 2 dc in each of the next 4 ch = 8 dc. Turn piece.
ROW 2: 1 ch, then 2 dc in each dc = 16 dc. Turn piece.
ROW 3: 1 ch, then * 1 dc in first dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* = 24 dc. Turn piece.
SIZE 35/37: Inc are now complete.
SIZE 38/40:
ROW 4: 1 ch, then * 1 dc in each of the first 7 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* = 27 dc.
SIZE 41/43:
ROW 4: 1 ch, then * 1 dc in each of the first 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* = 30 dc.
ALL SIZES:
Continue back and forth with 1 dc in each dc until piece measures 8-9-10 cm. NOTE! Crochet 1 ch at the beg of every row.
Now dec 1 dc at the end of every row
- See DECREASING TIP, and repeat the dec a total of 2-3-3 times each side = 20-21-24 dc. Continue with 1 dc in each dc until piece measures 15-18-20 cm. Now inc 1 dc at the end of every row - See INCREASING TIP, and repeat the inc a total of 2 times each side = 24-25-28 dc. When slipper measures a total of 22-24-27 cm fold it double and crochet tog mid back with a row of sl sts through both layers. Cut and fasten thread. Pull the thread end from the beg through the 4 ch by the toes, tighten at the top and sew slipper tog mid upper foot - sew edge to edge to where the dec beg. Cut and fasten thread.

CROCHET BORDER:
Crochet a border with off-white Snow round the opening of slipper as follows:
ROUND 1: Beg mid back, crochet 1 dc in each row and finish with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round.
ROUND 2: 1 ch, 1 dc in sl st from the end of previous round, * 3 ch, 1 htr in the first of the 3 ch, skip approx 2 cm, 1 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* and finish with 3 ch, 1 htr in the first of the 3 ch, skip approx 2 cm, 1 sl st in dc from beg of round.
Cut and fasten thread.

STRAP:
Crochet a strap with 2 threads off-white Snow as follows: 1 dc in dc-row in the middle of one side, then crochet a ch-string measuring approx 16 to 20 cm, finish with 1 sl st in the first dc so that the ch-string forms a loop. Sew a button to the opposite side of slipper.

POMPOM:
Make 1 pompom with a diameter of approx 5 cm with off-white. Sew the pompom to the slipper, not the crochet border, right in front of the button.
