100-150-150 g colour no 35, yellow
100-100-100 g colour no 11, green
100-100-100 colour no 15, black
50-50-50 g colour no 1, coral
50-50-50 g colour no 12, red
50-50-50 g colour no 17, off-white

DROPS pointed and double pointed needles size 3.5 and 5 mm - or size needed to obtain 17 sts x 23 rows in stocking st on needle size 5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Pattern: See diagram. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS.
Rib: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*.


Back piece: Cast on 78-82-84 sts on needle size 3.5 mm with blue and work 5 cm Rib. Change to circular needle size 5 mm and continue in stocking st, at the same time inc 18-20-24 sts evenly on first row = 96-102-108 sts. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 49-49-50 cm work M.1 (beg by arrow) and then complete piece in blue. At the same time when piece measures 60-60-61 cm cast off the middle 38-40-40 sts for neck and dec 1 st on neckline on next row. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 60-61-62 cm.
Front piece: Cast on and work like back piece. When piece measures 19.5-19.5-20.5 cm work the parrot pattern on the middle 48 sts – when working row 27, 28 and 29 continue in black to both sides. After the pattern continue in blue until piece measures 49-49-50 cm. Now work M.1 on 36 sts each side with remaining sts in blue (= 2 leaves on either side of the neck, beg by arrow for size L for all sizes). When piece measures 56-56-57 cm cast off the middle 26-28-28 sts for neck and dec to shape the neckline on every other: 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 3 times. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 61-61-62 cm.
Sleeve: Cast on 36-36-40 sts on double pointed needles size 3.5 mm with blue and work 5 cm Rib. Change to double pointed needles size 5 mm and continue in stocking st , at the same time inc 13-15-11 sts evenly on first round = 49-51-51 sts. At the same time after the Rib inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 25-25-25 times on every 3rd and 4th round alternately = 99-101-101 sts. When piece measures 39-38-37 cm work M.1 (place a pattern repeat mid upper sleeve) and then complete piece in blue. Cast off when piece measures 50-49-48 cm.
Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams. Pick up approx 94 sts round the neck on needle size 3.5 mm with blue, work 2 cm stocking st, change to black, P1 round, 2 cm stocking st, cast off. Fold edge double towards WS and fasten. Set in sleeves, armhole = 30-30-30 cm.
