Size: Ladies and men’s: S - M – L. Numbers in ( ) refer to men’s sizes.
Materials: DROPS Alpaca from Garnstudio
150-200-200 (200-250-250) g colour no 8903, black
100-100-100 (100-100-100) g colour no 6790, blue
100-100-100 (100-100-100) g colour no 2918, turquoise
50-100-100 (50-100-100) g colour no 2924, gold
50-100-100 (50-100-100 g colour no 3620, red

DROPS circular and double pointed needles size 2.5 and 3 mm, or size needed to get 25 sts x 36 rows in stocking st with Alpaca on needle size 3 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Pattern: See diagram. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS and the entire pattern is worked in stocking st.
NOTE: each row in diagram is worked 2 times.
Pattern body piece: 4 cm black, 3 cm turquoise, 4.5 cm black, M.1 with yellow pattern colour (= 24 rounds), 8.5-10.5-12.5 (12.5-13.5-15.5) cm black, M.2 with red pattern colour (= 22 rounds) – for size M beg M.2 on front piece and work the last 6 sts of diagram, then 6 full repeats across the row, then the first 6 sts of diagram, repeat on back piece – 4 rounds black, 10 rounds yellow, 4 rounds black, stripe pattern – see below – 4 rounds black.
Pattern sleeve: 2 cm black, 3 cm turquoise, 4.5-4.5-4.5 (4.5-5.5-6.5) cm black, M.1 with red pattern colour (= 24 rounds), 10-8-6 (13-11-10) cm black, 10 rounds yellow, 4 rounds black, stripe pattern, 4 rounds black.
Stripe Pattern: 4 rounds blue, 8 cm as follows: * 6 turquoise sts, 6 blue sts *, repeat from *-* = 10-10-10 (13-12-12) cm in total.
Rib: * K1, P1 *, repeat from *-*.

Body: The body piece is worked in the round on circular needle and cut for armhole afterwards. Numbers in ( ) refer to men’s sizes.
Cast on 232-242-250 (240-250-260) sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm with black and work 7 cm rib. Change to circular needle size 3 mm and continue in stocking st and pattern, at the same time inc 56-70-86 (48-62-76) sts evenly on first round = 188-312-336 (288-312-336) sts Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 27-29-30 (35-34-36) cast on 8 sts each side (to be cut afterwards and not included in pattern). Cast off after the last pattern row, piece measures approx 57-59-61 (64-64-66) cm.
Sleeve: Cast on 50-52-54 (52-54-56) sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with black and work 6 cm rib. Change to double pointed needles size 3 mm and continue in stocking st and pattern, at the same time inc 23-23-23 (21-21-21) sts evenly on first round = 73-75-77 (73-75-77) sts. Inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 37-38-39 (35-38-37) times on every 4th round for ladies size S, on every * 3rd and 4th * round alternately for ladies size M + L and on every 4th round for men’s sizes = 145-151-151 (145-151-151) sts. After the last pattern row piece measures approx 49-47-45 (55-54-53) cm. Now work 8 rounds in reverse stocking st(for sewing sleeve to body piece). Cast off.
Assembly: Insert a marking thread in the middle of the inc sts for armhole. Sew 2 seams on a sewing machine around the marking thread, 1st seam = ½ st from the MT, 2nd seam = ½ st from the 1st seam. Cut for armholes. Sew shoulder seams, neckline = 23-24-25 (23-24-24) cm. Pick up 110-114-118 (110-114-114) sts round neckline on needle size 3 mm with black and work 4 cm rib, cast off. Set in sleeves as follows: sew the last row in stocking st on sleeves to row after machine seam on armhole. Turn jumper inside out and fasten piece in reverse stocking st on sleeve to body piece.
