500-550 g colour no 02, off-white
200-200 g colour no 10, red
150-200 g colour no 31, blue
100-100 g colour no 08, yellow
50-50 g colour no 22, beige
DROPS circular needle size 3.5 and 5 mm and double pointed needles size 3.5, 4 and 5 mm, or size needed to get 17 sts x 21 rows in stocking st on needle size 5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
Pattern: See diagram. The pattern is seen from the RS.
Rib: *K1, P1 *, repeat from *-*.
Body: The jumper is worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 156-160 sts on circular needle size 3.5 mm with off-white and work 6 cm rib. Change to circular needle size 5 mm and K 1 round, at the same time inc 46-58 sts evenly on round = 202-218 sts. Work next round as follows: * 21-25 stocking sts, M.1 (= 59 sts), 21-25 stocking sts *, repeat from *-* on back piece. Continue in pattern like this. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 32-32 cm divide piece in two and complete front and back pieces separately.
Back piece: = 101-109 sts. Continue in pattern, make sure to have the cable on the RS. When piece measures 60-61 cm cast off the middle 41-43 sts for neck and dec 1 st on neckline on next row. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 62-63 cm.
Front piece: = 101-109 sts. Continue as described for back piece. When piece measures 56-57 cm cast off the middle 35-35 sts for neck and complete each side separately. Cast off to shape the neckline on every other row: 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 3 times. Cast off remaining sts when piece measures 62-63 cm.
Sleeve: Cast on 36-38 sts on double pointed needles size 3.5 mm with off-white and work 5 cm rib. Change to double pointed needles size 5 mm and continue in M.2 (place a pattern repeat mid upper sleeve), at the same time inc 15-15 sts evenly on first round = 51-53 sts. At the same time inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 26-27 times on every * 3rd, 3rd and 4th * round alternately = 103-107 sts. Incorporate inc sts in pattern as you go along. Cast off when piece measures approx 50 cm, adjust to M.2.
Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams.
Pick up approx 105 sts round the neck on double pointed needles size 4 mm with off-white and work M.3, then 1 round beige, 1 round red, P 1 round in red (= folding edge), 1 round yellow, 14 rounds off-white, at the same time inc as dec in M.3, cast off loosely. Fold edge double towards WS and fasten. Set in sleeves.
