DROPS jumper with diamond pattern in “Paris”.

Materials: DROPS Paris from Garnstudio
600-700-700 g colour no 30, blue
100-100-100 g colour no 12, red
50-50-50 g colour no 6, pink
50-50-50 g colour no 41, yellow
50-50-50 g colour no 13, orange
50-50-50 g colour no 11, green

DROPS circular needle size 3.5 and 5 mm. Double pointed needles size 3.5, 4 and 5 mm - or size needed to obtain 17 sts x 23 rows in stocking st on needle size 5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Pattern: See diagram M.1 to M.5. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS.
Rib: *K2, P2*, repeat from *-*.


Front and back piece: Worked in the round on circ needle. Cast on 156-160-164 sts on needle size 3.5 mm with blue and work 4 cm Rib. Change to needle size 5 mm and work M.1, at the same time inc 36-40-44 sts evenly on first round = 192-200-208 sts. Continue in M.1. Remember the knitting tension! After M.1 continue as follows: *7-5-7 blue sts, M.2, 9-11-11 blue sts, M.2, 9-11-11 blue sts, M.2, 9-11-11 blue sts, M.2, 9-11-11 blue sts, M.2, 8-6-8 blue sts. Repeat from *-* on back piece. After M.2 work 8-8.5-8.5 cm blue and then continue in pattern as described above, but work M.3 instead of M.2. After M.3 work 8-8.5-8.5 cm blue and then work pattern again, but M.4 instead of M.2. After M.4 complete piece in blue. At the same time when piece measures 27-28-28 cm divide the piece in 2 and now complete each piece separately.
Front piece: = 96-100-104 sts. When piece measures 47-48-48 cm cast off the middle 22-22-22 sts for neck and dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 4 sts 1 time, 3 sts 2 times, 2 sts 3 times and 1 st 3 times. Cast off remaining sts when piece measures 57-58-58 cm.
Back piece: = 96-100-104 sts. When piece measures 53-54-54 cm cast off the middle 46-46-46 sts for neck and dec on neckline on every other row: 3 sts 1 times, 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 2 times. Cast off as described for front piece.
Sleeve: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 36-40-40 sts on double pointed needle size 3.5 mm with blue and work 4 cm Rib. Change to needle size 5 mm and work 1 round stocking st, at the same time inc 13-9-11 sts evenly on round = 49-49-51 sts. Continue in M.1 (make sure to place a pattern repeat mid upper sleeve). At the same time inc 2 sts mid under arm on every 3rd and 4th round alternately for size S and on every 3rd round for size M + L a total of 26-27-26 times = 101-103-103 sts. After M.1 continue in blue until piece measures 42-41-41 cm and then work M.2 with 9-11-11 blue sts between each vertical pattern repeat. After M.2 complete piece in blue. At the same time when piece measures 47-46-46 cm cast off 8 sts mid under arm and complete piece back and forth on needle. Cast off each side to shape the sleeve cap on every other row: 6 sts 4 times. Cast off, piece measures approx 51-50-50 cm.
Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up 121 (or 132) sts round neckline on double pointed needles size 4 mm with blue and work M.5. When 4 rounds remain change to needle size 3.5 mm. After M.5 work 3 rounds blue stocking st, P 1 round, work 6 rounds blue stocking st and cast off. Fold neckline double towards WS and fasten. Set in sleeves.
