DROPS jumper with fish pattern in “Paris”. Ladies or Men’s size S – L.

Size: S/M – M/L. Numbers in ( ) refer to Men’s size.
Materials: DROPS Paris from Garnstudio
400-400 (500-550) g colour no 30, blue
300-300 (300-300) g colour no 8, violet
150-200 (100-100) g colour no 5, purple
100-100 (100-100) g colour no 7, red/purple
50-50 (50-50) g colour no 3, mint
50-50 (50-50) g colour no 35, yellow

DROPS circular and double pointed needles size 3.5 and 5 mm - or size needed to obtain 17 sts x 23 rows in stocking st on needle size 5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Pattern: See diagram M.1 to M.3. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS.
Rib: *K1 into back of loop, P1*, repeat from *-*.

Front and back piece: Worked in the round on circular needle. Numbers in ( ) refer to Men’s sizes. Cast on 156-160 (164-168) sts on needle size 3.5 mm with blue and work 5-5 (6-6) cm Rib. Change to needle size 5 mm and continue in stocking st, at the same time inc 36-48 (44-56) sts evenly on first round = 192-208 (208-224) sts. . Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 10-11 (28-30) cm, continue as follows:
For ladies sizes:
M.1 and then M.2 (with 1 blue st between each fish for size S/M, and 3 blue sts between each fish for size M/L), M.3 and then complete piece in violet.
Men’s sizes: M.1, M.3 and then complete piece in violet.
Both ladies and men’s sizes:
At the same time when piece measures 31-32 (34-36) cm divide the piece in two and complete front and back pieces separately.
Front piece: = 96-104 (104-112) sts. When piece measures 55-56 (59-61) cm cast off the middle 22-22 (22-22) sts for neck and dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 2 times. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 61-62 (64-66) cm.
Back piece: = 96-104 (104-112) sts. When piece measures 60-61 (63-65) cm cast off the middle 36-36 (36-36) sts for neck and dec 2 sts on neckline on next row Cast off as described for front piece.
Sleeve: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 36-38 (40-40) sts on double pointed needle size 3.5 mm with blue and work 5 cm Rib. Change to needle size 5 mm and continue in stocking st, at the same time inc 12-10 (10-10) sts evenly on first round = 48-48 (50-50) sts. At the same time inc 2 sts mid under arm on every 3rd round for ladies sizes and on every *3rd and 4th round alternately for Men’s sizes a total of 27-27 (26-27) times = 102-104 (102-104) sts. At the same time when piece measures 25-25 (28-27) cm work M.1, M.3 (make sure to place a pattern repeat mid upper sleeve) and then complete piece in violet. When piece measures 48-47 (51-50) cm cast off 10 sts mid under arm and complete piece back and forth on needle. Dec for sleeve cap each side on every other row: 6 sts 3 times. Cast off when piece measures 51-50 (54-53) cm.
Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 100 sts round neckline on double pointed needles size 3.5 mm with violet and work 2.5 cm stocking st, at the same time dec 4 sts evenly along neckline on back piece on first round = 96 sts. Change to blue, work 1 round stocking st, P 1 round (= folding edge), 2.5 cm stocking st, cast off. Fold edge double towards WS and fasten. Set in sleeves.
