DROPS circular and double pointed needles size 2.5 mm and 4 mm
DROPS buttons, 5 pcs.

Knitting Tension: 20 sts x 26 rows on needle size 4 mm in pattern = 10 x 10 cm
Hem: 4 cm yellow stocking st, P 1 row (= folding edge, measure piece from here), 1 round stocking, change to light yellow and work 4 cm stocking st.
Pattern: See diagram. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS side.

Front and back piece: Knitted in the round and cut for armhole and mid front afterwards.
Cast on 190-196-204 sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm with yellow and work Hem. Change to circular needle size 4 mm, at the same time inc 5 sts mid front (to be cut afterwards and not included in pattern) and 38-44-48 sts evenly on round = 228-240-252 sts (+ 5 sts). Continue in pattern as follows: 1 cm light yellow, M.1, M.2, M.3 (beg mid front by arrow A and work 57-60-63 sts, beg by arrow B and work 114-120-126 sts, beg by arrow C and work 57-60-63 st). Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 28-29-29 inc 5 sts each side for armhole (to be cut for armholes afterwards and not included in pattern – make sure to have the 5 sts for cutting mid front). After M.3 continue in M.2, M.4 and then complete piece in light yellow. At the same time when piece measures 50-51-51 cm cast off the middle 20-20-22 sts + 5 sts to be cut on front piece, for neck and complete piece back and forth on needle. Dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 3 sts 2 times, 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 3 times. At the same time when piece measures 57-58-58 cm cast of the middle 42-42-44 sts on back for neck and dec 2 sts on neckline on next row. Cast off remaining sts when piece measures 58-59-59 cm.

Sleeve: Knitted round on double pointed needles. Cast on 46-46-48 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with yellow and work Hem. Change to needle size 4 mm, at the same time inc 12-14-12 sts evenly on first round = 58-60-60 sts. Continue in pattern as follows (make sure to place a pattern repeat mid upper sleeve): 3-2-2 cm light yellow, M.2, M.4, M.2, M.3 and then complete piece in light yellow. At the same time after Hem inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 31-31-31 times on every 3rd and 4th round alternately = 120-122-122 sts – incorporate the new sts in pattern as you go along. When piece measures 50-49-48 cm work 2 cm in reverse stocking st = edge for sewing on sleeve to body piece. Cast off and knit the other sleeve.

Assembly: Insert a marking thread in the middle of the inc sts for armhole each side and mid front. Make 2 seams each side on your sewing machine, the first seam ½ st from the MT and the other one ½ st from the first one. Cut the piece between these for armholes and mid front. Sew shoulder seams. Fold Hems double towards WS and fasten.
Front edges: Pick up approx 110 sts on needle size 2.5 mm with light yellow and work 3 cm stocking st back and forth on needle, change to yellow, 1 row stocking st, P 1 row, 3 cm stocking st, cast off. Repeat along right front piece, but after 1 cm make 5 buttonholes evenly distributed on row. 1 buttonhole = cast off 2 sts and cast on 2 new sts on return row. Remember buttonholes on both sides of Hem. Fold Hem double towards WS and fasten.
Neckline: Pick up approx 100 sts round the neck on needle size 2.5 mm with light yellow and work 2.5 cm stocking st, change to yellow, K 1 round, P 1 round, 2,5 cm stocking, cast off. Fold double towards WS and fasten.
Set in sleeves from the RS as follows: sew in the last row before the edge in reverse stocking sts on sleeves to the first row after the seam in the sts for cutting on body piece. Turn the jumper inside out and sew the piece in stocking sts over the cutting edge on body piece. Sew on buttons.
