DROPS jumper with pattern borders in “Paris”.

Materials: DROPS Paris from Garnstudio
350-400-400 g, colour no 12, red
200-250-250 g colour no 30, blue
150-200-200 g colour no 20, light pink
100-150-150 g colour no 19, yellow
100-150-150 g colour no 33, pink
100-100-100 g colour no 3, mint
50-100-100 g colour no 5, purple

DROPS circular and double pointed needles size 3.5 and 5 mm - or size needed to obtain 17 sts x 23 rows in stocking st on needle size 5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Pattern: See diagram M.1 to M.5. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS.
Rib: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*.
Long version: Inc measurements by armhole and neckline by 12 cm, finished length = 70-72-72 cm. Inc materials by 50 g light pink, pink and red. Before M.1 on body piece work M.5 and then continue as described.

Front and back piece: Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 156-160-164 sts on needle size 3.5 mm with red and work 5 cm Rib. Change to needle size 5, at the same time inc 36-44-52 sts evenly = 192-204-216 sts. Continue in pattern as follows: M.1, 3-4-4 cm red, M.2. Remember the knitting tension! At the same time when piece measures 28-30-30 cm divide piece in two (make sure to have a pattern repeat mid front) and now complete front and back pieces separately.

Front piece: = 96-102-108 sts. After M.2 work M.1, 3-4-4 cm red, M.3 and then complete piece in M.4. At the same time when piece measures 53-55-55 cm cast off the middle 28-28-28 sts for neck and dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2 times. Cast off after M.4. Piece measures approx 58-60-60 cm.

Back piece: = 96-102-108 sts. Continue in pattern as described for front piece. When piece measures 56-58-58 cm cast off the middle 38-38-38 sts for neck and dec 1 st on neckline on next row Cast off as described for front piece.

Sleeve: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 36-36-38 sts on double pointed needle size 3.5 mm with red and work 5 cm Rib. Change to needle size 5, at the same time inc 14-16-14 sts evenly on first round = 50-52-52 sts. Now inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 26-25-26 times on every 3rd and 4th round alternately for size S + M and on every 3rd round for size L = 102-102-104 sts. At the same time when piece measures 9-8-8 cm continue in pattern as follows (make sure to place a pattern repeat mid upper sleeve): M.3, M.2, M.1 and then complete piece in red. When piece measures 47-46-46 cm cast off 8 sts mid under arm and complete piece back and forth on needle. Dec to shape the sleeve cap on every other row 8 sts 2 times and cast off. Piece measures approx 50-49-49 cm.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 92 to 96 sts round neckline on double pointed needles size 3.5 mm with red and work 2 cm stocking st, work next round as follows: * K2 tog, 1 YO * (= folding edge), 2 cm stocking st, cast off. Fold edge double towards WS and fasten. Set in sleeves, sew in outer loops of sts to avoid a chunky seam.
