DROPS circular and double pointed needles size 3.5 and 5 mm, or size needed to get 17 sts x 23 rows in stocking st on needle size 5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

DROPS buttons, 5 pcs.

Pattern: See diagram. The diagram is seen from the RS and the entire pattern is worked in stocking st.

Rib: * K1, P1 *, repeat from *-*.

LONG VERSION: Inc materials by 100 g light blue / turquoise. Inc all measurements after M.2 by 11-12-13 cm, finished length = 68-70-72 cm. Pick up an additional 20 sts on front bands.

Body piece:
Worked back and forth on circular needle from mid front. Cast on 156-160-164 sts on needle size 3.5 mm with blue and work 5 cm rib. Change to circular needle size 5 mm and continue in M.1, at the same time inc 36-44-52 sts evenly on first round = 192-204-216 sts. After M.1 continue in M.2. Remember the knitting tension! At the same time when piece measures 27-28-29 cm divide the piece and complete front and back pieces separately.

Left front piece: = 48-51-54 sts. After M.2 continue in light blue until piece measures 43-44-45 cm. Now work M.4 and then continue in blue. When piece measures 48-49-50 cm cast off to shape the neckline at the beg of every row from mid front: 9 sts 1 time, 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 3 times. At the same time when piece measures 49-50-51 cm work M.5 and then complete piece in navy blue. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 57-58-59 cm.

Right front piece: Like left front piece, but mirrored.

Back piece: = 96-102-108 sts. Continue in pattern as described for front piece. When piece measures 56-57-58 cm cast off the middle 36 sts for neck and cast off 1 st on neckline on next row. Cast off as described for front piece.

Sleeves: Cast on 36-36-38 sts on double pointed needle size 3.5 mm with blue and work 5 cm rib. Change to needle size 5 mm and continue in M.1 (place a pattern repeat mid upper sleeve), at the same time inc 14-16-14 sts evenly on first round = 50-52-52 sts. At the same time after the rib inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 25-25-26 times on every * 3rd and 4th * round alternately for size S + M, and on every 3rd round for size L = 102-102-104 sts. After M.1 continue in blue until piece measures 45-44-44 cm. Now work M.3. At the same time when piece measures 47-46-46 cm cast off 8 sts mid under sleeve and complete piece back and forth on needle. Cast off to shape the sleeve cap each side on every other row: 8 sts 2 times, and cast off remaining sts. Sleeve measures approx 50-49-49 cm.

Assembly: Join shoulders. Pick up approx 98 sts along left front piece on needle size 3.5 mm with blue and work 3 cm rib, cast off. Repeat along right front piece, but after 1 cm make 5 buttonholes evenly distributed. 1 buttonhole = cast off 2 sts and cast on 2 new sts on return row. Pick up approx 94 sts round the neck on needle size 3.5 mm with blue and work 2 cm rib, cast off. Set in sleeves and sew on buttons.
