Materials: DROPS Muskat Soft
600-650-650 (700-750) g colour no 13, navy blue
50-50-50 (50-50 g colour no 8, off-white

DROPS pointed needles size 2.5 and 4 mm and double pointed needles size 2.5 mm, or size needed to get 17 sts x 40 rows in False English rib on needle size 4 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

False English rib:
Row 1: * 1 YO, slip 1 st as if to P, K1 *, repeat from *-*.
Row 2: * P1, K tog next st and YO from previous row *, repeat from *-*.
Repeat row 1 and 2. Row 2 = RS.

Rib: * K1, P1 *, repeat from *-*.
Front piece: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 92-96-100 (100-104) sts (includes 1 edge st each side, worked in garter st throughout) on needle size 2.5 mm with navy blue and work 5 cm rib. Change to needle size 4 mm and continue in False English rib, at the same time inc 6-8-10 (4-6) sts evenly on first row = 98-104-110 (104-110) sts. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 25-26-27 (33-35) cm cast off 3 sts each side for armhole and cast off to shape the armhole each side on every other row: 1 st 2 times = 88-94-100 (94-100) sts. When piece measures 50-51-52 (57-59) cm slip the middle 14-16-16 (16-16) sts on a stitch holder and complete each side separately. Cast off to shape the neckline at the beg of every row from mid front: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 5 times. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 55-56-57 (63-65) cm.

Back piece: Cast on and work like front piece, but when piece measures 54-55-56 (61-63) cm slip the middle 34-36-36 (36-36) sts on a stitch holder for neck and cast off 2 sts on neckline on next row. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder as described for front piece.

Sleeve: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 44-48-48 (50-50) sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needles size 2.5 mm with navy blue and work 5 cm rib as follows: 2 rows navy blue, 2 rows off-white, 2 rows navy blue, 2 rows off-white, complete rib in navy blue. After the rib change to needle size 4 mm and continue in False English rib, at the same time inc 6-4-4 (2-2) sts evenly on first row = 50-52-52 (52-52) sts. Now inc 1 st each side inside the edge st a total of 26 times on every 6th row for ladies sizes and on every 7th row for men’s sizes = 102-104-104 (104-104) sts. When piece measures 48-48-47 (53-53) cm cast off 3 sts each side for armhole and cast off to shape the sleeve cap each side on every other row: 4 sts 5 times. Cast off remaining sts, piece measures approx 51-51-50 (56-56) cm.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 112 sts (includes sts on stitch holders front and back) round the neck on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with navy blue and work 3 cm rib as described for sleeve, at the same time dec 8 sts evenly on sts from stitch holder on back piece = 104 sts. Cast off. Set in sleeves and sew side and sleeve seams.
