500-550 g colour no 18, white
150-150 g colour no 13, navy blue

DROPS circular and double pointed needles size 2.5 and 4 mm, or size needed to get 21 sts x 26 rows in pattern on needle size 4 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Pattern: See diagram. The diagram is seen from the RS.

Edge: 19 rounds stocking st, P 1 round (= folding edge, measure piece from here), M.1.
LONG VERSION: Cast on an additional 12 sts and inc 12 less sts after Edge. Inc materials by 50-100 g white. Inc all measurements by 8-9 cm, finished length = 68-71 cm.

Body piece: The jumper is worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 204-216 sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm with navy blue and work Edge, at the same time inc 46-44 sts evenly on last round = 250-260 sts. After the Edge change to circular needle size 4 mm and continue in M.2. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 30-32 cm cast off 6 sts each side for armhole and complete front and back pieces separately.

Front piece: = 119-124 sts. Cast off to shape the armhole each side on every other row: 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 3 times = 109-114 sts. When piece measures 50-52 cm cast off the middle 9-10 sts for neck and complete each side separately. Cast off to shape the neckline at the beg of every row from mid front: 3 sts 2 times, 2 sts 4 times, 1 st 4 times, and then on every other row from mid front: 1 st 2 times. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 60-62 cm.

Back piece: Like front piece.

Sleeve: Cast on 48-48 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with navy blue and work Edge, at the same time inc 10-10 sts evenly on last round = 58-58 sts. Change to double pointed needles size 4 mm and continue in M.2 (place a pattern repeat mid upper sleeve), at the same time inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 34-34 times on every * other and 3rd * round = 126-126 sts – incorporate inc sts in pattern as you go along. When piece measures 45-46 cm cast off 10 sts mid under arm and complete piece back and forth on needle. Cast off to shape the sleeve cap each side on every other row: 6 sts 5 times, and cast off remaining sts. Sleeve measures approx 50-51 cm.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 120 sts around the neck on needle size 2.5 mm with white and work M.3, P 1 round in white, 5 rounds white stocking st, cast off. Fold all edges double towards WS and fasten. Set in sleeves.
