SIZES:
The blanket is worked in sizes S – M – L
Width (approx.) = 47-57-66 cm. Length = 60-70-80 cm.

YARN:
DROPS LIMA from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group B)
200-250-300 g colour 0206, Wheat

NEEDLES:
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 4 MM: Length 80 cm.

KNITTING TENSION:
21 stitches in width and 28 rows in height with stocking stitch on needle size 4 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
NOTE: Remember, the needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger needle size. If you get to few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller needle size.

EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN:

EDGE STITCHES WITH I-CORD:
BEGINNING OF ROW:
Knit 2 twisted together, make 1 yarn over.
END OF ROW:
Work until there are 2 stitches left on the row, slip 2 stitches purl-wise with the strand in front.
Work in the same way from both the right and wrong side.

GARTER STITCH:
Knit all rows, from both the right and wrong side.
1 ridge in height = knit 2 rows.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 to A.3.
The diagrams are worked from right to left when working from the right side and left to right when working from the wrong side.

START THE PIECE HERE:

BLANKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The blanket is worked back and forth with circular needle.

BLANKET:
Cast on 101-121-141 stitches with circular needle size 4 mm and DROPS Lima.
Work 2 EDGE STITCHES WITH I-CORD – read explanation above, GARTER STITCH until there are 2 stitches left and 2 edge stitches with I-cord.
Work like this until you have 4 ridges in height (see GARTER STITCH); the piece measures approx. 2 cm.

Now work PATTERN – read explanation above, as follows:
ROW 1 (right side): 2 edge stitches as before, 4 garter stitches, work A.1 across 7 stitches, repeat A.2 until there are 8 stitches left, work A.3 across 2 stitches, 4 garter stitches and 2 edge stitches as before.
ROW 2 (wrong side): 2 edge stitches as before, 4 garter stitches, work A.3 across 2 stitches, repeat A.2 until there are 13 stitches left, work A.1 across 7 stitches, 4 garter stitches and 2 edge stitches as before. Remember to maintain the knitting tension.
Repeat the diagrams in height until the piece measures 58-68-78 cm, adjusting so there are 4 rows without lace pattern and the piece starts and finishes in the same way.
Work 2 edge stitches as before, garter stitch until there are 2 stitches left and 2 edge stitches as before. Work 4 ridges in height. The piece measures approx. 60-70-80 cm. Cast off with knit.
