EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN:

----------------------------------------------------------

PATTERN:
Then work stripes as shown in A.1.

DECREASE TIP:
DECREASE AFTER 3 STITCHES AS FOLLOWS:
Slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked (= 1 stitch decreased).
DECREASE BEFORE 3 STITCHES AS FOLLOWS:
Work until 5 stitches remain on needle, knit 2 together (= 1 stitch decreased), work the rest of row as before.

I-CORD CAST-OFF:
BEGINNING (= right side):
Cast on 2 new stitches on right needle from right side.
Slip the 2 new stitches from right needle to left needle so that working yarn is 2 stitches in on left needle (the working yarn tightens the piece when working to form a little tube).
ROW 1 (= right side):
Knit 1, knit the next 2 stitches twisted together. Slip the 2 stitches from right needle back on left needle. Do not turn piece.
Repeat 1st ROW until 2 stitches remain. Slip the 2 stitches from right needle back on left needle. Cast off.

TOP - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
In this pattern needles of different length have been used, begin with fitting length for number of stitches and switch as needed.

Finish by picking up stitches around the neck and armholes and cast off with I-cord.

BODY:
