CROCHET HOOK:
DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 4 MM.
CROCHET TENSION:
20 treble crochets in width and 11.5 rows in height on hook size 4 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
20 double crochets in width and 23 rows in height on hook size 4 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
Hook size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches within 10 cm, change to a larger hook size. If you get too few stitches within 10 cm, change to a smaller hook size.

HAT– SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked in the round, top down.
HAT:
Use crochet hook size 4 mm and DROPS Safran.
Work diagram A.1. When A.1 is finished there are 8 treble-crochet groups on the round.
Work diagrams A.2, then A.3 6 times and A.4.
Work the diagrams until round 4 is finished. There are 32 treble-crochet groups on the round. Remember to maintain the crochet tension.
In size S/M the increases are finished. In sizes M/L and L/XL increase as follows on the next round:
Work round 5, but in 0-2-4 of the chain stitches on the round work A.5.
When round 5 is finished there are 32-34-36 treble-crochet groups on the round.
Work rounds 6 and 7 (NOTE! In sizes M/L and L/XL there are more treble-crochet groups than shown in the diagram – work 1 treble-crochet group around each chain stitch).
Repeat rounds 6 and 7 until the piece measures 15-16-17 cm, or to desired length. There is 2 cm left.
Work A.6, then A.7 to end of round. After round 1 there are 96-102-108 double crochets on the round. When the diagram is finished, cut and fasten the strand.
The hat measures approx. 17-18-19 cm.
