EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN:

-------------------------------------------------------

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 to A.7.

CROCHET INFORMATION:
When working A.2 to A.6 there is a grey section showing A.1 to make it easier to see how the diagrams continue. The same applies for diagram A.7, there is a grey section which shows how the stitches in A.7 are worked.

START THE PIECE HERE:

-------------------------------------------------------

HEADSCARF – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked back and forth. Cords are worked on each side to finish, which are used to fasten the headscarf.

HEADSCARF:
Use crochet hook size 3.5 mm and DROPS Cotton Merino.
Read PATTERN and CROCHET INFORMATION in the explanations above. Work according to diagram A.1.
When diagram A.1 is finished, continue with diagrams A.2 to A.6 – the grey section is A.1 and has already been worked; it is included to show how the stitches in A.3 to A.6 are worked. Continue as follows:
Work A.2 around the chain-space at the beginning of the row, work A.3 and A.4 until there are 7 treble crochets left before the chain-space in the middle of A.1, work A.3, then work A.5 across the stitches in the middle, work A.3 and A.4 until there are 7 treble crochets left before the chain-space at the end of the row, work A.3 then A.6 around the chain-space. Remember to maintain the crochet tension.
Continue this pattern. Each time the 2 rows in A.2 to A.6 are worked, there is room for 2 more repeats of A.3 and A.4 on each side.
Work until the piece measures 18 cm, measured along the middle, and finishing after a complete repeat in height. Do not cut the strand.
The piece is a triangle. Along the longest side, work a row of double crochets rotating the piece so you continue from the same side as follows:
Work A.7 along the long side (the diagram shows you how to work the beginning, middle and end of the row i.e., not all the rows are shown in the diagram). Cut and fasten the strand.
Cords are now worked, then fastened to each end of the long side.

CORDS:
Cut 6 strands of DROPS Cotton Merino, each 80 cm in length. Thread the strands halfway through the piece, outermost at one end of the long side, now with 12 strands of equal length. Divide the strands into 3 bunches of 4 and plait the bunches until there is 3 cm left. Tie a strand around the plait and fasten well. Work a second cord at the other end of the long side.
