SKIRT– SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
Skirt is crocheted top down with increases. Crochet a lace edge at the bottom and fold the top 2 cm down and fasten for folding edge.

SKIRT:
Work 170-180-200-220-240-260-280 chain stitches on hook size 3.5 mm with DROPS Cotton Light and form a ring with 1 slip stitch in first chain stitch. Work first round as follows: Work 3 chain stitches (= 1 treble crochet), skip first chain stitch and work 1 treble crochet in each of the next 3 chain stitches, * skip 1 chain stitch, work 1 treble crochet in each of the next 4 chain stitches *, work from *-* the entire round, and skip last chain stitch = 136-144-160-176-192-208-224 treble crochets. Continue with 1 treble crochet in every treble crochet. Work in the round, i.e. do not finish the round with slip stitch at beginning of round but continue in the round over all treble crochets.

When piece measures 8 cm, insert 8 markers in the piece, 17-18-20-22-24-26-28 treble crochets apart. On next round increase 8 treble crochets on round, increase by working 2 treble crochets in 1 treble crochet before every marker. Remember to follow the crochet tension! Continue in the round while at the same time increasing every 1½-2-2½-2½-3-3½-3½ cm 10 times in total – increase by working 2 treble crochets in 1 treble crochet, increase alternately before and after marker. NOTE - when working in the round the round will be displaced, markers should follow vertically down the skirt and need to be moved when working. When all increases are done, there are 216-224-240-256-272-288-304 treble crochets on round. Continue working in the round with treble crochets until piece measures 46-49-52-55-58-61-64 cm. Finish last round with 1 half treble crochet, 1 double crochet and a slip stitch. Do not cut the yarn. Now work a lace edge as explained below.

LACE EDGE:
Work a finishing lace edge at the bottom around the skirt.
ROUND 1:
1 double crochet, * 3 chain stitches, skip approx. 1½ cm, 1 double crochet in next stitch *, work from *-* along the entire edge, make sure that number of chain spaces is divisible by 2.
ROUND 2:
Work 1 chain stitch and slip stitches until the middle of first chain space, work 1 double crochet around same chain space, * work 6 treble crochets around next chain space, 1 double crochet around next chain space *, work from *-* until 1 chain space remains, work 6 treble crochets around next chain space and 1 slip stitch at the beginning of round.

ASSEMBLY:
Fold the top 2 cm down on the inside of skirt, place elastic that is tied in appropriate length in the folding edge and fasten folding edge on the inside of skirt - make sure that to avoid a tight seam.
The skirt measures approx. 44-47-50-53-56-59-62 cm in total.
