DROPS 267-21
DROPS Design: Pattern fs-046
Yarn group B
-------------------------------------------------------

SIZES:
XS - S - M - L - XL - XXL - XXXL

YARN:
DROPS FIESTA from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group B)
350-350-400-450-500-550-600 g colour 22, Fairytale

NEEDLES:
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 4 MM: Length 40 cm and 80 cm.
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 2.5 MM: Length 40 cm and 80 cm.
DROPS DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES SIZE 4 MM.
DROPS DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES SIZE 2.5 MM.
The technique MAGIC LOOP can be used – you then only need 80 cm circular needle in each size.

KNITTING TENSION:
21 stitches in width and 28 rows in height with stocking stitch on needle size 4 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
NOTE: Remember, the needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger needle size. If you get to few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller needle size.

EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN:

-------------------------------------------------------

RAGLAN:
Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over, which is worked as follows on the next round:
BEFORE RAGLAN-STITCH (yarn over twists to right):
Slip the yarn over from the left needle to the right needle purl-wise, then replace it by inserting the left needle through the back (the yarn over is the other way round). Knit through the stitch loop that lies on the front of the needle (avoids a hole).
AFTER RAGLAN-STITCH (yarn over twists to left):
Knit through the stitch loop that lies on the back of the needle (avoids a hole).

INCREASE TIP – for transition to rib:
When increasing evenly in the transition to rib, it is important to increase in the purled sections on the rib, so the knitted stitches continue neatly from the stocking stitch.

SLEEVE TIP:
When knitting up stitches under the sleeve, you can get a small hole in the transition between stitches on the body and sleeve. This hole can be closed by picking up the strand between 2 stitches and working this strand twisted together with the first stitch between body and sleeve.

START THE PIECE HERE:

-------------------------------------------------------

JUMPER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The pattern uses both long and short needles; start with the length which fits the number of stitches and change when necessary.
The neck and yoke are worked in the round with circular needle, top down and from the right back shoulder. When the yoke is finished, it is divided for the body and sleeves and the body continued in the round, while the sleeves wait. The sleeves are worked top down, in the round.
If there is a «0» in your chosen size, skip the information and go straight to the next instruction.

NECK:
Cast on 108-116-116-124-128-132-140 stitches with circular needle size 2.5 mm and DROPS Fiesta. Knit 1 round. Then work rib in the round (purl 1, knit 1) until the neck measures 2-2-3-3-3-4-4 cm. The round begins on the right back shoulder. Insert 1 marker after the first 38-40-40-44-45-46-50 stitches (approx. mid-front), the piece is measured from here.

YOKE:
Change to circular needle size 4 mm. Insert 4 markers, without working the stitches and inserting each marker in a stitch (raglan-stitches) which are used when increasing for raglan.

Insert marker-1 in the first stitch, count 19-19-19-23-23-23-27 stitches (= sleeve),
Insert marker-2 in the next stitch, count 33-37-37-37-39-41-41 stitches (= front piece),
Insert marker-3 in the next stitch, count 19-19-19-23-23-23-27 stitches (= sleeve),
Insert marker-4 in the next stitch, there are 33-37-37-37-39-41-41 stitches left after marker-4 (= back piece).
Work stocking stitch in the round and increase for RAGLAN on each side of all raglan-stitches – read explanation above describing how to increase.

RAGLAN:
ROUND 1:
Knit and increase for raglan on each side of all raglan-stitches (8 increased stitches) NOTE: At the beginning of the round increase after marker-stitch-1 and at the end of the round increase before marker-stitch-1. In addition, increase 0-0-0-0-0-4-6 stitches evenly on the front piece and 0-0-0-0-0-4-6 stitches evenly on the back piece = 116-124-124-132-136-148-160 stitches.
ROUND 2:
Knit – remember to work the yarn overs as described under RAGLAN.
ROUND 3:
Knit and increase for raglan on each side of all raglan-stitches (8 increased stitches).
ROUND 4:
Knit – remember to work the yarn overs as described under RAGLAN.

Work ROUNDS 3 and 4 a total of 19-25-27-21-24-30-29 times (40-52-56-44-50-62-60 rounds worked) = 268-324-340-300-328-388-392 stitches.
Remember to maintain the knitting tension.

Now increase as follows:
ROUND 1:
Knit and increase for raglan on each side of all raglan-stitches (8 increased stitches).
ROUND 2:
Knit.
ROUND 3:
Knit and increase for raglan only on the front and back pieces, i.e., after markers 2 and 4 and before markers 3 and 1. Do not increase on the sleeves (4 increased stitches).
ROUND 4:
Knit.

Work ROUNDS 1 to 4 a total of 3-1-1-5-4-2-3 times (12-4-4-20-16-8-12 rounds worked: A total of 3-1-1-5-4-2-3 increases in height on the sleeves and 6-2-2-10-8-4-6 increases in height on the front and back pieces) = 304-336-352-360-376-412-428 stitches.

All increases for raglan are finished: A total of 26-28-30-32-33-35-36 increases in height on the front and back pieces and 23-27-29-27-29-33-33 increases in height on the sleeves.
Continue stocking stitch without further increases until the yoke measures 21-22-23-23-24-25-26 cm from the marker mid-front. Now divide for the body and sleeves.

DIVIDE FOR BODY AND SLEEVES:
When dividing the raglan-stitches will be on the front and back pieces.
Knit 2-2-2-2-4-5-7 (these stitches belong to the back piece), place the next 63-71-75-75-75-81-81 stitches on a stitch holder for the sleeve, cast on 8-8-12-16-20-20-24 stitches (mid-under the sleeve), knit 89-97-101-105-113-125-133 (= front piece), place the next 63-71-75-75-75-81-81 stitches on a stitch holder for the sleeve, cast on 8-8-12-16-20-20-24 stitches (mid-under the sleeve), knit the last 87-95-99-103-109-120-126 stitches (= rest of back piece). The body and sleeves are finished separately.

BODY:
= 194-210-226-242-266-290-314 stitches.
Insert 1 marker in the middle of the 8-8-12-16-20-20-24 cast-on stitches under one sleeve. Work to this marker. The round begins here.
Continue stocking stitch in the round until the piece measures 38-40-42-42-44-46-48 cm from the marker mid-front.
Change to circular needle size 2.5 mm. Work rib (knit 1, purl 1), AT THE SAME TIME increase 48-52-56-60-70-72-76 stitches evenly on the first round – read INCREASE TIP = 242-262-282-302-336-362-390 stitches. When the rib measures 4-4-4-5-5-5-5 cm cast off slightly loosely with rib.
The jumper measures approx. 42-44-46-47-49-51-52 cm from the marker mid-front and 46-48-50-52-54-56-58 cm from the shoulder.

SLEEVES:
Place the 63-71-75-75-75-81-81 sleeve-stitches from one stitch holder onto circular needle size 4 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 8-8-12-16-20-20-24 stitches cast on under the sleeve – read SLEEVE TIP = 71-79-87-91-95-101-105 stitches.
Work stocking stitch in the round for 13-12-11-12-12-10-10 cm.
Change to double pointed needles size 2.5 mm. Work rib (knit 1, purl 1), AT THE SAME TIME increase 5-5-7-7-7-9-9 stitches evenly on the first round - remember INCREASE TIP = 76-84-94-98-102-110-114 stitches.
When the rib measures 2-2-3-3-3-4-4 cm, cast off slightly loosely with rib. The sleeve measures approx. 15-14-14-15-15-14-14 cm from the division.
