NEEDLES:
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 3 mm: Length: 40 cm.
DROPS DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES SIZE 3 mm.
KNITTING TENSION:
23 stitches in width and 32 rows vertically in stocking stitch on needle size 3 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
REMEMBER: Needle size is only a suggestion! If you have too many stitches on 10 cm switch to larger sized needles or if you get too few stitches on 10 cm switch to smaller sized needles.

START THE PIECE HERE:

HAT - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
Work piece in the round, bottom up.
HAT:
Cast on 126-140-154 stitches on a circular needle size 3 mm with DROPS Merino Extra Fine.
Work rib (= purl 1/knit 1) until piece measures 8-8-9 cm. Turn the piece so that you can continue working from wrong side (this is done to get a nice edge when the hat is folded up later). Remember to follow the knitting tension!
Work until piece measures 18-19-21 cm from cast-on edge (approx. 9-9-9 cm remain until finished measurements). Now work and decrease according to diagram A.1 - choose diagram for correct size.
When A.1 has been worked, there are 70-84-98 stitches on round.
Work diagram A.2 over stitches in A.1, rib fits nicely over each other.
When A.2 has been worked, there are 28-28-42 stitches on round.
Work 1 round rib as before.
Knit stitches together 2 by 2 the entire round = 14-14-21 stitches.
Knit 0-0-1 stitch, knit stitches together 2 by 2 the entire round= 7-7-11 stitches. Cut the yarn and pull yarn through the remaining stitches, tighten together and fasten. Hat measures approx. 27-28-30 cm from cast-on edge. Fold the edge up 5-5-6 cm bottom side so that hat measures 22-23-24 cm.
