NEEDLES:
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 2.5 mm: Length: 40 cm.
DROPS DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES SIZE 2.5 mm.
The technique MAGIC LOOP can be used – you then only need circular needle of 80 cm.
KNITTING TENSION:
26 stitches in width and 32 rows vertically in stocking stitch on needle size 2.5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
REMEMBER: Remember that needle size is only a suggestion. If you have too many stitches on 10 cm switch to larger sized needles or if you get too few stitches on 10 cm switch to smaller sized needles.

START THE PIECE HERE:

HAT - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
In this pattern needles of different length have been used, begin with fitting length for number of stitches and switch as needed. Work hat in the round, bottom up.
HAT:
Cast on 128-144 stitches on circular needle size 2.5 mm with DROPS Baby Merino.
Work in the round in rib (= knit 2/purl 2) until piece measures 27-28 cm from cast-on edge (approx. 6-6 cm remain until finished measurements).
Now work and decrease as according to diagram. Insert 4 markers in piece, insert them between 2 knit stitch so that are 32-36 stitches between every marker.
Work until one of the markers and work A.1, 4 times in total on round - choose diagram for correct size. When diagram has been worked, there are 16 stitches on row.
Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten together and fasten. Piece measures approx. 33-34 cm. Fold the edge of hat up 2 times towards right side approx. 6-6 cm each time. Hat measures approx. 21-22 cm with fold.
