1150 g colour 0100, Off White

NEEDLES:
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 5 mm: Length: 60 cm
DROPS CABLE NEEDLE.

KNITTING TENSION:
17 stitches in width and 22 rows vertically in stocking stitch on needle size 5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
REMEMBER: Needle size is only a suggestion! If you have too many stitches on 10 cm switch to larger sized needles or if you get too few stitches on 10 cm switch to smaller sized needles.

EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN:

GARTER STITCH (when working back and forth):
Knit on all rows, i.e. knit from right side and knit from wrong side.
1 ridge vertically = knit 2 rows.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 to A.5. Diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from the right side.
Read the diagrams from right to left when working from right side and from left to right when working from wrong side.

BLANKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
Piece consists of 24 squares worked back and forth separately. Work 6 squares in each of the 4 squares. Then sew the squares together.

SQUARE 1:
Cast on 38 stitches on circular needle size 5 mm with DROPS Nepal.
Knit 1 row from wrong side, knit 1 row from right side, knit 1 row from wrong side and knit 1 row from right side while AT THE SAME TIME increasing 12 stitches evenly = 50 stitches.
Work PATTERN – see explanation above and work as follows: Work 2 edge stitches in GARTER STITCH - read explanation above, work A.1 over the next 46 stitches (work first row from wrong side) and work 2 edge stitches in garter stitch. Remember to follow the knitting tension!
When A.1 has been worked, work as follows: Knit 1 row from right side while AT THE SAME TIME decreasing 12 stitches evenly = 38 stitches. Knit 1 row from wrong side, knit 1 row from right side and knit 1 row from wrong side. Cast off knitting from right side.

SQUARE 2:
Cast on 38 stitches on circular needle size 5 mm with DROPS Nepal.
Knit 1 row from wrong side, knit 1 row from right side, knit 1 row from wrong side and knit 1 row from right side while AT THE SAME TIME increasing 14 stitches evenly = 52 stitches.
Work as follows: Work 2 edge stitches in garter stitch, work A.2 over the next 48 stitches (work first row from wrong side) and work 2 edge stitches in garter stitch.
When A.2 has been worked, work as follows: Knit 1 row from right side while AT THE SAME TIME decreasing 14 stitches evenly = 38 stitches. Knit 1 row from wrong side, knit 1 row from right side and knit 1 row from wrong side. Cast off knitting from right side.

SQUARE 3:
Cast on 38 stitches on circular needle size 5 mm with DROPS Nepal.
Knit 1 row from wrong side, knit 1 row from right side, knit 1 row from wrong side and knit 1 row from right side while AT THE SAME TIME increasing 14 stitches evenly = 52 stitches.
Work as follows: Work 2 edge stitches in garter stitch, work A.3 over the next 48 stitches (work first row from wrong side) and work 2 edge stitches in garter stitch.
When A.3 has been worked, work as follows: Knit 1 row from right side while AT THE SAME TIME decreasing 14 stitches evenly = 38 stitches. Knit 1 row from wrong side, knit 1 row from right side and knit 1 row from wrong side. Cast off knitting from right side.

SQUARE 4:
Cast on 38 stitches on circular needle size 5 mm with DROPS Nepal.
Knit 1 row from wrong side, knit 1 row from right side, knit 1 row from wrong side and knit 1 row from right side while AT THE SAME TIME increasing 18 stitches evenly = 56 stitches.
Work as follows: Work 2 edge stitches in garter stitch, work A.4 over the next 52 stitches (work first row from wrong side) and work 2 edge stitches in garter stitch.
When A.4 has been worked, work as follows: Knit 1 row from right side while AT THE SAME TIME decreasing 18 stitches evenly = 38 stitches. Knit 1 row from wrong side, knit 1 row from right side and knit 1 row from wrong side. Cast off knitting from right side.

ASSEMBLY:
Place squares as shown in diagram A.5. Sew squares together, sew in outer loops of edge stitch/ridge.
