BLANKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked in Granny squares, which are worked together to finish.

SQUARE:
Use crochet hook size 4 mm and DROPS Fiesta, colour Winter Carnival. Read CHAIN STITCHES in the explanations above and work squares according to diagram A.1.
Remember to maintain the crochet tension.
When the diagram has been completed, continue in the same way until a total of 8 rounds has been worked from the beginning of piece, change to colour Off White and work 1 more round in the same way. Cut and fasten the strands.
You have worked a total of 9 rounds and the square measures approx. 20 x 20 cm. Work a total of 24 squares.

ASSEMBLY:
Lay the squares out, with 4 squares in width and 6 squares in length.
The squares are first worked together width-wise, then length-wise.
Use crochet hook size 4 mm and colour Off White. Work the squares together as follows:
Lay 2 squares edge-to-edge.
Start at one corner: * Insert the hook from the right side through the back loop of one square, then insert the hook from the right side through the back loop on the second square, pick up the strand and pull it through both loops on the hook *, work from *-* until these 2 squares are worked together along one side, work 1 chain stitch, then work from *-* along the next 2 squares in the same way. Work like this until the whole row has been worked together. Work all the squares together width-wise, then work the squares together lengthwise in the same way.

EDGE:
Use crochet hook size 4 mm and colour Off White. Work 1 round around the whole blanket according to A.1 as follows:
Start in the middle of one square and replace the first treble crochet in A.1 with 3 chain stitches. At the end of the round, work 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch at the beginning of the round.
Work 3 treble crochets and 1 chain stitch around each chain stitch along the squares. In the transitions between 2 squares work 3 treble crochets and 1 chain stitch in each corner of the squares. Across the corners of the blanket work 3 treble crochets, 3 chain stitches, 3 treble crochets and 1 chain stitch.
