Knitted Easter egg in DROPS Fiesta and Drops Kid-Silk. The piece is worked in the round with stocking stitch. Theme: Easter.

SIZE:
Circumference = 13 cm. Length = 8 cm.
YARN:
DROPS FIESTA from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group B)
50 g colour 18 water melon / 19 berries and cream / 23 dandelion dream/ 25 spring morning / 27 winter carnival
And use:
DROPS KID-SILK from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group A)
25 g colour 01, off white
1 egg weighs approx. 11 g with wadding.
ACCESSORIES:
Wadding.
NEEDLES:
DROPS DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES SIZE 3.5 MM.
KNITTING TENSION:
20 stitches in width and 27 rows in height, with stocking stitch and 1 strand of each quality on needle size 3.5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
NOTE: Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller needle size.

START THE PIECE HERE:

EASTER EGG – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked in the round with double pointed needles, bottom up.
EASTER EGG:
Cast on 13 stitches with double pointed needles size 3.5 mm, 1 strand DROPS Fiesta and 1 strand Drops Kid-Silk (2 strands) – leave a strand-end of 10 cm to use when assembling.
Work 1 round where you knit 2 stitches in each stitch (knit in both the front and back loops of each stitch) = 26 stitches.
Work stocking stitch in the round until the egg measures 5 cm. Remember to maintain the knitting tension.
Now decrease for the top of the egg as follows:
ROUND 1: * Knit 2, knit 2 together, knit 3, knit 2 together *, work from *-* a total of 2 times, knit 2, knit 2 together, knit 2, knit 2 together = 20 stitches (6 decreased stitches).
ROUND 2: Knit.
ROUND 3: * Knit 3, knit 2 together *, work from *-* to end of round = 16 stitches (4 decreased stitches).
ROUND 4: Knit. Fill the egg with wadding as you go.
ROUND 5: * Knit 2, knit 2 together *, work from *-* to end of round = 12 stitches (4 decreased stitches).
ROUND 6: Knit.
ROUND 7: Knit 2 together across all stitches all the round = 6 stitches.
Cut the strands, pull them through the remaining stitches, tighten and fasten well.
Using the strand from the beginning and tack up and down through the cast-on stitches, tighten and fasten well.
LOOP:
Cut 1 strand of Drops Kid-Silk, 15 cm in length. Pull the strand through the top of the egg and tie the ends together.
