EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN:

-------------------------------------------------------

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 to A.9. Choose diagram for your size (applies to A.1-A.3).

INCREASE TIP (evenly spaced):
To work out how to increase evenly, count the number of stitches on the round (e.g., 90 stitches) and divide by the number of increases to be made (e.g., 16) = 5.6.
In this example, work 2 double crochets alternately in each 5th and 6th double crochet (approx.).

HAT – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked in the round, top down with double crochets, 2 rows of holes and an edge with fan-pattern.

HAT:
Use crochet hook 4 mm and DROPS Bomull-Lin. Work A.1 (= chain-stitch ring).
Then work as follows: A.2 (beginning and end of the round), then A.3 a total of 6 times on the round. Continue this pattern. Remember to maintain the crochet tension.
When A.2 and A.3 are finished, there are 90-96 stitches + 1 chain stitch at the beginning of the round.
Continue as follows: Work A.4 (beginning and end of the round), A.5 across the remaining stitches, i.e., work 1 double crochet in each stitch + 1 chain stitch at the beginning of the round. Work until the hat measures 16-18 cm.
Now work a row of holes as follows: A.6 (beginning and end of the round), A.7 a total of 45-48 times. Continue this pattern. On each round marked with an arrow in A.7 increase as follows – read INCREASE TIP:
Arrow-1: Increase 16-16 stitches evenly spaced = 106-112 double crochets.
Arrow-2: Increase 6-6 stitches evenly spaced = 112-118 double crochets.
Arrow-3: Increase 6-6 stitches evenly spaced = 118-124 double crochets.
Arrow-4: Increase 6-8 stitches evenly spaced = 124-132 double crochets.
Now work an edge with fan-pattern.

EDGE WITH FAN-PATTERN:
Work A.8 (beginning and end of the round), A.9 a total of 31-33 times. Cut and fasten the strand. The hat measures approx. 23-25 cm from the top.
