EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN:
-------------------------------------------------------
RAGLAN:
Increase 1 stitch by making 1 yarn over, which is worked as follows on the next round:
BEFORE RAGLAN-STITCHES:
Slip the yarn over off the left needle and replace it twisted (insert the left needle through the back when replacing it). Knit through the front loop to avoid a hole. Then work the new stitch in stocking stitch.
AFTER RAGLAN-STITCHES:
Knit through the back loop to avoid a hole. Then work the new stitch in stocking stitch.
SLEEVE TIP:
When knitting up stitches under the sleeve, you can get a small hole in the transition between stitches on the body and sleeve. This hole can be closed by picking up the strand between 2 stitches and working this strand twisted together with the first stitch between body and sleeve.
DECREASE TIP:
Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker-thread as follows:
Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker-thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (2 stitches decreased).

START THE PIECE HERE:
-------------------------------------------------------
JUMPER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The pattern uses both long and short needles; start with the length which fits the number of stitches and change when necessary.
The neck and yoke are worked in the round with circular needle, top down and from the right back shoulder. When the yoke is finished, it is divided for the body and sleeves and the body continued in the round with circular needle, while the sleeves wait. The sleeves are worked top down, in the round.
NECK:
Cast on 80-80-88-88-96-96 stitches with circular needle size 3 mm and DROPS Sky. Work rib in the round as follows: Knit 1, work rib (purl 2, knit 2) until there are 3 stitches left on the round, purl 2 and knit 1. Continue this rib for 3-3-3-3-4-4 cm. The beginning of the round is on the right back shoulder. Insert 1 marker after the first 27-27-29-29-31-31 stitches (approx. mid-front), the piece is now measured from here.
YOKE:
Change to circular needle size 4 mm. Insert 4 marker-threads without working the stitches and each marker-thread inserted between 2 stitches, which are called raglan-stitches.
Insert marker-thread 1 at the beginning of the round, count 16 stitches (= sleeve),
Insert marker-thread 2 before the next stitch, count 24-24-28-28-32-32 stitches (= front piece),
Insert marker-thread 3 before the next stitch, count 16 stitches (= sleeve),
Insert marker-thread 4 before the next stitch, there are 24-24-28-28-32-32 stitches left after the last marker-thread (= back piece).
Work stocking stitch and increase for RAGLAN – read description above, as follows:
ROUND 1:
Continue with stocking stitch and increase for raglan on each side of the raglan-stitches (= 8 increased stitches). – NOTE: The round begins between 2 raglan-stitches; therefore increase after the first stitch on the round and before the last stitch on the round.
ROUND 2:
Knit.
Work ROUNDS 1 and 2 a total of 18-19-20-21-22-23 times (= 36-38-40-42-44-46 worked rounds) = 224-232-248-256-272-280 stitches. Remember to maintain the knitting tension.
Continue with stocking stitch but without further increases until the yoke measures 13-14-15-16-17-18 cm from the marker mid-front. Now divide for the body and sleeves.
DIVIDE FOR BODY AND SLEEVES:
Knit 2-3-2-3-3-3 (these stitches belong to the back piece), place the next 48-48-52-52-54-56 stitches on 1 thread for the sleeve, cast on 4-6-4-6-4-6 stitches (under the sleeve), knit 64-68-72-76-82-84 (= front piece), place the next 48-48-52-52-54-56 stitches on 1 thread for the sleeve, cast on 4-6-4-6-4-6 stitches (under the sleeve), knit the last 62-65-70-73-79-81 stitches (= back piece). The body and sleeves are finished separately.
BODY:
= 136-148-152-164-172-180 stitches. Insert 1 marker in the middle of the 4-6-4-6-4-6 stitches cast on under 1 sleeve. Knit to the marker; the round now starts here.
Work stocking stitch in the round until the piece measures 26-29-33-37-40-42 cm from the marker mid-front.
Change to circular needle size 3 mm. Work rib (knit 2, purl 2) AT THE SAME TIME increase 24-28-32-32-36-36 stitches evenly on the first round = 160-176-184-196-208-216 stitches.
When the rib measures 3-3-3-3-4-4 cm cast off with rib.
The jumper measures approx. 29-32-36-40-44-46 cm from the marker mid-front and 32-35-39-43-47-49 cm from the top of the shoulder.
SLEEVES:
Place the 48-48-52-52-54-56 sleeve-stitches from one thread on circular needle size 4 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 4-6-4-6-4-6 stitches cast on under the sleeve – read SLEEVE TIP = 52-54-56-58-58-62 stitches. Insert a marker-thread in the middle of the 4-6-4-6-4-6 stitches under the sleeve.
Start at the marker-thread and work stocking stitch in the round.
When the sleeve measures 2 cm, decrease 2 stitches under the sleeve – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 2-2½-2½-3-3½-3½ cm a total of 8-8-9-9-9-10 times = 36-38-38-40-40-42 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 20-25-28-32-34-38 cm from the division.
Change to double pointed needles size 3 mm. Work rib (knit 2, purl 2), AT THE SAME TIME increase 8-6-6-8-8-6 stitches evenly on the first round = 44-44-44-48-48-48 stitches. When the rib measures 3-3-3-3-4-4 cm, cast off with rib. The sleeve measures approx. 23-28-31-35-38-42 cm from the division.
