HAT - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
Worked in the round on circular needle, bottom up. Switch to double pointed needles when needed.
HAT:
Cast on 144-156 stitches on circular needle size 3 mm with DROPS Karisma. Knit 1 round. Then work rib (= purl 1/knit 1) until piece measures 24-25 cm from cast-on edge. Remember to follow the knitting tension!
Now insert 6 markers in the piece, insert markers in knit stitches as follows: Begin by counting 23-25 stitches and insert 1st marker in the 24th-26th stitch on round (= 1 knit stitch), then distribute the rest of the markers so that there are 23-25 stitches between every knit stitch with marker.
Work next round as follows: Work as before until 2 stitches remain before 1st marker, purl 2 together, * continue with rib as before until 2 stitches remain before next marker, purl 2 together *, work from *-* the entire round = 138-150 stitches. Continue with knit over knit and purl over purl, AT THE SAME TIME decrease the same way on every other round 15-17 times in total, then decrease on every round 7-7 times in total = 12-12 stitches.
Cut the yarn, pull yarn through the remaining stitches. Tighten the yarn and fasten. Piece now measures approx. 36-38 cm from cast-on edge.
ASSEMBLY:
Fold the rib double to measure approx. 5-5 cm, then fold the edge up towards the right side 1 more time. Fasten the folding edge with a couple of stitches to keep it in place. The hat measures approx. 25-27 cm when it is folded.
