SHAWL - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
Piece is worked back and forth on circular needle, side to side.

SHAWL:
Cast on 5 stitches on circular needle size 6 mm with 1 strand DROPS Fabel + 1 strand DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk. Read EDGE STITCHES in explanation above and work as follows:
ROW 1 (= right side): Work 2 edge stitches, knit 1 and work 2 edge stitches.
ROW 2 (= wrong side): Work 2 edge stitches, knit 1 and work 2 edge stitches.
ROW 3 (= right side): Work 2 edge stitches, make 1 yarn over, knit 1 and work 2 edge stitches. Work yarn over twisted on next row to avoid holes.
ROW 4 (= wrong side): Work 2 edge stitches, work MOSS STITCH - read explanation above, until 2 stitches remain and work 2 edge stitches.

Continue with moss stitch and 2 edge stitches in each side, increase in one side of piece every 4th row (= every other row from right side). There is always 2 edge stitches in each side and there will be more and more stitches in moss stitch in the middle of piece. Remember to follow the knitting tension!

When piece measures approx. 60 cm from cast on edge, piece measures approx. 28 cm along the middle (there are approx. 40 stitches on needle). Work moss stitch and edge stitches as before without increases for 4 cm.

Continue with moss stitch and edge stitches as before, and decrease inside 2 edge stitches in the same side of piece as increases earlier. Decreases are done every 4th row (= from the right side):
Decrease from right side as follows:
Work 2 edge stitches, slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked and work moss stitches until 2 stitches remain and work 2 edge stitches.

Work as before and decrease like this until 5 stitches remain on row. Work 2 rows as before and cast off on next row. Fasten off.
Piece measures approx. 125 cm.
