CROCHET HOOK:
DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 3 MM.
CROCHET TENSION:
22 treble crochets in width and 11 rows in height = 10 x 10 cm.
Hook size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger hook size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller hook size.

CHAIN STITCH:
If you work outermost on the hook the chain stitch will often be too tight; 1 chain stitch should be as long as 1 double/treble crochet is wide.

BOTTLE BAG – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked in the round bottom up; first the bottom, then the sides and finally an edge with 2 straps.
BOTTOM:
Work 4 CHAIN STITCHES – read description above, with hook size 3 mm and DROPS Muskat. Form them into a ring with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch.
Work according to diagram A.1. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
When A.1 is finished there are 60 half-treble crochets on the round. The bottom measures approx. 8 cm in diameter.
SIDES:
ROUND 1: * 3 chain stitches, skip 2 half-treble crochets, 1 double crochet in the next half-treble crochet *, work from *-* until there are 3 stitches left on the previous round, work 3 chain stitches and 1 double crochet in the first chain-space on the round = 20 chain-spaces.
Insert 1 marker at the beginning of the round and allow it to follow your work onwards.
Continue in the round as follows * 3 chain stitches, 1 double crochet around the next chain-space *, work from *-* onwards. Note that the beginning of the round is displaced each round.
Work until the sides measure approx. 14 cm – the height kan be adjusted by working more or fewer rounds.
EDGE WITH STRAPS:
ROUND 1: Start by working 2 double crochets around the last chain-space (there are now 3 double crochets around this chain-space), work 3 double crochets around each chain-space and finish with 1 slip stitch in the first double crochet at the beginning of the round = 60 double crochets.
ROUND 2: Work 2 chain stitches (replace the first half-treble crochet), work 1 half-treble crochet in each double crochet, finish with 1 slip stitch in the second chain stitch at the beginning of the round = 60 half-treble crochets.
ROUND 3: Work 1 chain stitch (replaces the first double crochet), 1 double crochet in each of the next 9 half-treble crochets, work 102 chain stitches for the strap, skip 9 half-treble crochets, 1 double crochet in each of the next 21 half-treble crochets, work 102 chain stitches for the strap, skip 9 half-treble crochets, 1 double crochet in each of the last 11 half-treble crochets, finish with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch at the beginning of the round.
ROUND 4: Work 1 chain stitch (replaces the first double crochet), 1 double crochet in each double crochet/chain stitch, finish with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch at the beginning of the round.
Cut and fasten the strand.
