Crocheted wine-bag in DROPS Safran. The piece is worked in the round, from the middle outwards and bottom up. Theme: Christmas.

Approx. 8 cm in diameter.

DROPS SAFRAN from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group A)
50 g colour 13, raspberry
1 bag weighs approx. 34 g
CROCHET HOOK:
DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 3 MM.
CROCHET TENSION:
24 treble crochets in width and 13 rows in height = 10 x 10 cm.
Hook size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger hook size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller hook size.

CHAIN STITCH:
If you work outermost on the hook the chain stitch will often be too tight; 1 chain stitch should be as long as 1 double/treble crochet is wide.

WINE BAG – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked in the round, from the middle outwards and bottom up.
BOTTOM:
Work 3 CHAIN STITCHES – read description above, with hook size 3 mm and DROPS Safran. Form them into a ring with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch.
Then work as follows. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
ROUND 1:
3 chain stitches (replaces the first treble crochet), 11 treble crochets around the chain-stitch ring, finish with 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch at the beginning of the round = 12 treble crochets.
ROUND 2:
3 chain stitches, 1 treble crochet in the same stitch as the chain stitches, * 2 treble crochets in the next stitch *, work from *-* a total of 11 times, finish with 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch at the beginning of the round = 24 treble crochets.
ROUND 3:
3 chain stitches, 2 treble crochets in the next stitch, * 1 treble crochet in the next stitch, 2 treble crochets in the next stitch *, work from *-* a total of 11 times, finish with 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch at the beginning of the round = 36 treble crochets.
ROUND 4:
3 chain stitches, 1 treble crochet in the next stitch, 2 treble crochets in the next stitch, * 1 treble crochet in each of the next 2 stitches, 2 treble crochets in the next stitch *, work from *-* a total of 11 times, finish with 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch at the beginning of the round = 48 treble crochets.
ROUND 5:
3 chain stitches, 1 treble crochet in the next 2 stitches, 2 treble crochets in the next stitch, * 1 treble crochet in each of the next 3 stitches, 2 treble crochets in the next stitch *, work from *-* a total of 11 times, finish with 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch at the beginning of the round = 60 treble crochets. Now work the sides.
SIDES:
ROUND 6:
2 chain stitches, * 1 half-treble crochet around the next treble crochet (work from the back to make an edge) *, work from *-* a total of 60 times, finish with 1 slip stitch in the 2nd chain stitch at the beginning of the round = 60 half-treble crochets.
ROUNDS 7-9:
3 chain stitches, 1 treble crochet in the next stitch, then 1 treble crochet in each remaining stitch, finish with 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch at the beginning of the round = 60 treble crochets.
ROUND 10:
* 4 chain stitches, skip 2 treble crochets, 1 double crochet in the next treble crochet *, work from *-* until there are 3 stitches left on the previous round, finish with 3 chain stitches and 1 double crochet in the first chain-space at the beginning of the round = 20 chain-spaces.
Insert 1 marker to show the beginning of the round and allow it to follow your work onwards.
ROUNDS 11-34:
Work in the round as described below but without finishing after each round. Be aware that the beginning of the round is displaced after each round.
Work * 4 chain stitches, 1 double crochet around the chain-space * work from *-* to end of round.
The height of the bag can be adjusted as you wish.
ROUND 35:
Work 2 double crochets around the same chain-space, where the previous round finished (= 3 double crochets around the chain-space), work 3 double crochets around each chain-space, finish with 1 slip stitch in the first double crochet on the round = 60 double crochets.
ROUNDS 36-37:
3 chain stitches, 1 treble crochet in the next stitch, then 1 treble crochet in each stitch, finish with 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain stitch at the beginning of the round = 60 treble crochets.
ROUND 38:
1 chain stitch, 1 double crochet in each of the next 9 treble crochets, work 98 chain stitches, skip the next 10 treble crochets from the round below, 1 double crochet in each of the next 10 treble crochets, work 98 chain stitches, skip the next 10 treble crochets from the round below, 1 double crochet in each treble crochet, finish with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch at the beginning of the round.
ROUND 39:
1 chain stitch, 1 double crochet in each double crochet/chain stitch, finish with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch at the beginning of the round.
Cut and fasten the strand.
