HEAD BAND – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked back and forth.

HEAD BAND:
Cast on 27-29-31 stitches with needle size 3 mm and DROPS Merino Extra Fine.
ROW 1 (= right side): Work 2 EDGE STITCHES – read description above, knit until there are 2 stitches left, 2 edge stitches.
ROW 2 (= wrong side): Work 2 edge stitches, knit until there are 2 stitches left, 2 edge stitches.
ROW 3 (= right side): Work 2 edge stitches, knit and increase 6 stitches evenly over the next 23-25-27 stitches, 2 edge stitches = 33-35-37 stitches.
ROW 4 (= wrong side): Work 2 edge stitches, knit until there are 2 stitches left, 2 edge stitches.
Now work according to the diagram as follows (row 1 is from the right side):
Work 2 edge stitches, 5-6-7 stitches in MOSS STITCH – read description above, work diagram A.1 (19 stitches), 5-6-7 stitches in moss stitch, 2 edge stitches.
REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
Continue this pattern until the piece measures approx. 48-50-52 cm from the cast-on edge – adjust so at least 3 rows have been worked after the last cabling and the next row is from the right side.
ROW 5 (= right side): Work 2 edge stitches, knit and decrease 6 stitches evenly over the next 29-31-33 stitches, 2 edge stitches = 27-29-31 stitches.
ROWS 6-8: Work 2 edge stitches, knit until there are 2 stitches left, 2 edge stitches. Cast off with knit from the right side.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew together the cast-on and cast-off edges, sewing in the outermost loop of the outermost stitch so the seam is flat and neat.
