SIZE:
Height: Down the middle = approx. 15 cm
Width: From side to side = approx. 76 cm
YARN:
DROPS ALPACA BOUCLÉ from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group C)
50 g colour 0602, brown
and use:
DROPS KID-SILK from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group A)
25 g colour 42, almond
NEEDLES:
DROPS SINGLE POINTED NEEDLES SIZE 8 MM.
KNITTING TENSION:
12 stitches in width and 21 rows in height with garter stitch and 1 strand of each quality = 10 x 10 cm.
NOTE: Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller needle size.

EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN:

RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth):
Knit all rows.
1 ridge = knit 2 rows.
PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 and A.2. The diagrams show all rows in the pattern from the right side.

START THE PIECE HERE:

SHAWL - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked sideways, back and forth.
SHAWL:
Cast on 5 stitches with needle size 8 mm, using 1 strand DROPS Alpaca Bouclé and 1 strand DROPS Kid-Silk (2 strands).
Work and increase as shown in diagram A.1 (row 1 = right side).
When A.1 is finished, continue with GARTER STITCH – read description above and 2 stitches in stocking stitch on each side. In addition, increase 1 stitch from the right side after the first 2 stitches on every 6th row. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
When there are 18 stitches, the piece will measure approx. 36 cm from the cast-on edge. Continue the pattern but without further increases until the piece measures 40 cm from the cast-on edge.
Now start to decrease by working diagram A.2 (row 1 = right side).
When A.2 is finished continue in the same way, decreasing 1 stitch inside the first 2 stitches on every 6th row.
When there are 5 stitches left work 2 rows as before, then cast off with knit from the right side. The piece measures approx. 76 cm from side to side.
