START THE PIECE HERE:

SHAWL – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked back and forth, from one side to the other.
SHAWL:
Cast on 5 stitches with circular needle size 5 mm and DROPS Air.
Work and increase as shown in diagram A.1 (first row from the right side).
When the diagram is finished, continue in the same way – i.e. always increase inside 2 stitches every 4th row. There are 2 stitches in stocking stitch on each side of the piece and more and more stitches in garter stitch in the middle.
REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
When the piece measures approx. 56 cm from the cast-on edge continue the pattern without increasing for 4 cm.
Continue the pattern, now decreasing inside 2 stitches every 4th row, on the same side as you previously increased, and working as follows: Work 2 stitches in stocking stitch, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch. Work as before to the end of the row.
Repeat this decrease every 4th row. There are 2 stitches in stocking stitch on each side and fewer and fewer stitches in garter stitch in the middle.
Work until there are 5 stitches left on the row. Work 2 more rows and cast off on the next row. The piece measures approx. 116 cm.
