EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN:
-------------------------------------------------------
RAGLAN:
Increase 1 stitch each side of 2 knitted stitches in each transition between the body and sleeves as follows:
AFTER MARKER:
Knit 1, make 1 yarn over.
BEFORE MARKER:
Work until there is 1 stitch left before the marker, make 1 yarn over, knit 1.
MEASURING TIP:
All measurements are taken when holding the piece up because the pattern in A.1 tightens the garment when it is flat.
DECREASE TIP (sleeves):
Decrease 1 stitch on either side of the marker as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch.

JUMPER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The neck and yoke are worked in the round with circular needle, from mid back and top down. The yoke is divided for body and sleeves and the body is continued in the round with circular needle. The sleeves are worked in the round with short circular needle/double pointed needles.
DOUBLE NECK:
Cast on 128-132-136-144-148-156 stitches with short circular needle size 3.5 mm and DROPS Nord. Change to circular needle size 2.5 mm and work rib in the round (knit 2, purl 2) for 13 cm (the neck is later folded double).
Knit 1 round and decrease 12 stitches evenly spaced = 116-120-124-132-136-144 stitches. Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm.
YOKE:
Insert 4 markers without working the stitches as follows:
Insert marker-1 at the beginning of the round (before the first stitch), count 16 stitches (sleeve), insert marker-2 before the next stitch, count 42-44-46-50-52-56 stitches (front piece), insert marker-3 before the next stitch, count 16 stitches (sleeve), insert marker-4 before the next stitch. There are 42-44-46-50-52-56 stitches left (back piece). Insert a different marker mid-back, from which the yoke will be measured.
Work A.1 in the round, AT THE SAME TIME on the first round begin to increase for RAGLAN – read description above. Increase like this every 2nd round a total of 28-33-36-39-43-48 times = 340-384-412-444-480-528 stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
When the increases are finished continue the pattern without further increases until the yoke measures 23-25-26-28-30-32 cm from the marker mid-back – read MEASURING TIP.
Divide for the body and sleeves: Work 3-2-2-3-4-6 stitches past marker-1 (these stitches belong to the back piece), place the next 66-78-84-88-94-100 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 10-10-12-12-12-12 stitches (in side under sleeve), work 104-114-122-134-146-164 stitches (front piece), place the next 66-78-84-88-94-100 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 10-10-12-12-12-12 stitches (in side under sleeve), work the last 101-112-120-131-142-158 stitches (back piece). Cut the strand. The body and sleeves are finished separately.
BODY:
= 228-248-268-292-316-352 stitches. Insert a marker in one side of the piece, in the middle of the cast-on stitches. Begin at the marker and continue A.1 in the round until the body measures approx. 26-26-27-27-27-27 cm from the division – adjust so there are at least 3 knitted rounds after the last textured stripe. Knit 1 round and increase 36-40-44-44-48-48 stitches evenly spaced = 264-288-312-336-364-400 stitches. Change to circular needle size 2.5 mm. Work rib (knit 2, purl 2) for 4 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. The jumper measures approx. 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm from the shoulder down.
SLEEVES:
Place the 66-78-84-88-94-100 stitches from the thread on the one side of the piece on short circular needle/double pointed needles size 3.5 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the new 10-10-12-12-12-12 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 76-88-96-100-106-112 stitches. Insert a marker in the middle of the new stitches under the sleeve. Begin at the marker and continue A.1 in the round with 1 knitted stitch on each side of the marker.
When the sleeve measures 3 cm decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 3½-2-1½-1-1-1 cm a total of 7-11-15-16-18-19 times = 62-66-66-68-70-74 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures approx. 36-35-34-32-31-29 cm from the division – adjust so there are at least 3 knitted rounds after the last textured stripe. Knit 1 round where you increase 10-10-10-12-10-10 stitches evenly spaced = 72-76-76-80-80-84 stitches. Change to circular needle size 2.5 mm. Work rib (knit 2, purl 2) for 4 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. The sleeve measures approx. 40-39-38-36-35-33 cm.
Work the other sleeve in the same way.
ASSEMBLY:
Fold the neck double to the inside and sew down with a couple of stitches, to keep it in place.
