MITTENS - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked in the round with double pointed needles, from the cuff to the fingertips.

MITTEN:
Cast on 50-55 stitches with double pointed needles size 3 mm and 1 strand DROPS Alpaca Bouclé and 1 strand DROPS Kid-Silk. Work rib in the round (knit 2, purl 3) for 6 rounds. Continue the rib and decrease as follows: * Knit 2, purl 2 together, purl 1 *, work from *-* to the end of the round = 40-44 stitches.
Continue the new rib (knit 2, purl 2) until the piece measures 11 cm.
Change to double pointed needles size 4 mm and work stocking stitch until the piece measures 14 cm.
Knit 1 round and decrease 4-6 stitches evenly spaced = 36-38 stitches. Insert a marker; the piece is now measured from here. Continue with stocking stitch until the piece measures 3 cm from the marker. Increase 1 stitch on each side of the first stitch on the round for the thumb - read INCREASE TIP! Increase like this on each side of the increased stitches every 2nd round a total of 5-6 times = 46-50 stitches.
Work until the piece measures 7-8 cm. Work the 11-13 thumb-stitches and place them on a thread. Work the next 35-37 stitches and cast on 3 stitches at the end of the round (behind the thumb) = 38-40 stitches. Continue working until the piece measures 15-16 cm (4 cm left to finished length). Decrease 6 stitches evenly every 2nd round a total of 5 times - read DECREASE TIP = 8-10 stitches. On the next round knit all stitches together 2 and 2 = 4-5 stitches. Cut the strand, pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten and fasten well. The mitten measures approx. 19-20 cm from the marker and 33-34 cm in total

THUMB:
Place the 11-13 thumb-stitches back on double pointed needles size 4 mm. Knit up 4 stitches behind the thumb = 15-17 stitches. Work stocking stitch in the round for 5½-6 cm (1 cm left to finished length).
Knit 1, knit the remaining stitches together 2 and 2 = 8-9 stitches. Knit 0-1, knit the remaining stitches together 2 and 2 = 4-5 stitches. Cut the strand. pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten and fasten well. Fold the rib up on the right side.

Work 1 more mitten in the same way.
