EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN:
-------------------------------------------------------

RAGLAN:
Increase on each side of all the marker-threads (8 stitches increased): Work until there is 1 stitch left before the marker-thread, 1 yarn over, knit 2 (marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches), 1 yarn over. Repeat at every marker. On the next round knit the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. Then work the new stitches in stocking stitch.

DECREASE TIP (for sleeves):
Decrease 1 stitch on either side of the marker-thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker-thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (2 stitches decreased).

START THE PIECE HERE:

-------------------------------------------------------

JUMPER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The neck and yoke are worked in the round with circular needle, from mid back and top down. The yoke is divided for body and sleeves and the body is continued in the round with circular needle. The sleeves are worked with short circular needle/double pointed needles, top down.

DOUBLE NECK:
Cast on 108-112-116-120-124-132 stitches with DROPS Soft Tweed or DROPS Daisy, using one circular needle size 3 mm and one 4 mm held together (this gives you an elastic cast-on edge). Remove the needle size 4 mm keeping the stitches on the needle size 3 mm and work rib in the round (knit 2, purl 2) for 13 cm. Fold the neck to the inside and work the next round in rib at the same time as every 2nd stitch is worked together with its corresponding stitch on the cast-on edge. You now have a double neck of 6 cm. Knit 1 round and increase 24-28-24-36-40-56 stitches evenly spaced = 132-140-140-156-164-188 stitches. Knit 1 round.

YOKE:
Change to circular needle size 4 mm. Insert 1 marker at the beginning of the round (mid-back). The yoke is measured from here!
Insert 4 marker-threads without working the stitches: Skip the first 23-25-25-29-31-37 stitches, insert a marker-thread here (transition between back-piece and sleeve), skip 20 stitches, insert a marker-thread here (transition between sleeve and front-piece), skip 46-50-50-58-62-74 stitches, insert a marker-thread here (transition between front-piece and sleeve), skip 20 stitches, insert a marker-thread here (transition between sleeve and back-piece), there are 23-25-25-29-31-37 stitches left after the last marker-thread.
REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Work stocking stitch. AT THE SAME TIME on the first round begin to increase to RAGLAN – read description above. Increase like this every 2nd round a total of 23-26-30-30-33-35 times = 316-348-380-396-428-468 stitches.
When all the increases are finished, continue with stocking stitch until the yoke measures 19-21-23-25-27-29 cm from the marker.
Divide for the body and sleeves on the next round as follows:
Work the first 46-51-55-59-64-72 stitches (half back-piece), place the next 66-72-80-80-86-90 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 8-8-8-10-10-10 stitches (in side under sleeve), work 92-102-110-118-128-144 stitches (front-piece), place the next 66-72-80-80-86-90 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 8-8-8-10-10-10 stitches (in side under sleeve), work the last 46-51-55-59-64-72 stitches (half back-piece). The body and sleeves are finished separately.

BODY:
= 200-220-236-256-276-308 stitches. Continue with stocking stitch in the round for a further 25 cm. Knit 1 round and increase 12 stitches evenly spaced = 212-232-248-268-288-320 stitches.
Change to circular needle size 3 mm and work rib (knit 2, purl 2) for 5 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. The jumper measures approx. 54-56-58-60-62-64 cm from the shoulder down.

SLEEVES:
Place the 66-72-80-80-86-90 stitches from the thread on the one side of the piece on short circular needle/double pointed needles size 4 mm and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 8-8-8-10-10-10 stitches cast on under the sleeve = 74-80-88-90-96-100 stitches. Insert a marker-thread in the middle of the new stitches under the sleeve. Allow the thread to follow your work onwards; it will be used when decreasing under the sleeve.
Continue with stocking stitch in the round for 5 cm. Now decrease 2 stitches under the sleeve – read DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 3-2½-1½-1½-1½-1 cm a total of 10-12-15-15-16-17 times = 54-56-58-60-64-66 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 40-39-37-36-34-32 cm from the division. Knit 1 round where you increase 6-8-6-8-8-6 stitches evenly spaced = 60-64-64-68-72-72 stitches. Change to double pointed needles size 3 mm and work rib (knit 2, purl 2) for 5 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. The sleeve measures approx. 45-44-42-41-39-37 cm from the division. Work the other sleeve in the same way.
