Fits head-size: 54/56 - 56/58 - 58/60 cm
MATERIALS:
DROPS ALPACA BOUCLÉ from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group C)
50-100-100 g colour 0602, brown
And use:
DROPS KID-SILK from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group A)
25-25-25 g colour 42, almond
NEEDLES:
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 5.5 MM: Length 40 cm.
DROPS DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES SIZE 5.5 MM.
KNITTING TENSION:
15 stitches in width and 18 rows in height with stocking stitch and 1 strand of each quality = 10 x 10 cm.
NOTE: Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller needle size.

START THE PIECE HERE:

HAT – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked in the round, bottom up. Change to double pointed needles when necessary as you decrease.
HAT:
Cast on 76-80-84 stitches with circular needle size 5.5 mm and 1 strand DROPS Alpaca Bouclé and 1 strand DROPS Kid-Silk (2 strands). Work stocking stitch in the round.
REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
When the piece measures 22-24-26 cm (there is 6 cm left to finished length), decrease as follows:
ROUND 1: * Knit 2, knit 2 together *, work from *-* to the end of the round = 57-60-63 stitches.
ROUNDS 2-3: Knit.
ROUND 4: Knit 1-0-1, * knit 2, knit 2 together *, work from *-* until there are 0-0-2 stitches left, knit 0-0-2 = 43-45-48 stitches.
ROUNDS 5-6: Knit.
ROUND 7: Knit 1-1-0, * knit 2, knit 2 together *, work from *-* until there are 2-0-0 stitches left, knit 2-0-0 = 33-34-36 stitches.
ROUND 8: Knit.
ROUND 9: Knit 1-0-0, knit 2 and 2 stitches together the whole round = 17-17-18 stitches.
ROUND 10: Knit.
ROUND 11: Knit 1-1-0, knit 2 and 2 stitches together the whole round = 9-9-9 stitches.
Cut the strand, pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten and fasten well. The hat measures approx. 28-30-32 cm. Fold the bottom 5-6 cm up on the right side.
