SIZE:
Approx. 45 x 27 cm.
Fits cushion-size 50 x 30 cm. The inner cushion is larger than the cover; the cover is stretched slightly to give a good fit.
MATERIALS:
DROPS Lima from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group B)
300 g colour 9020, pearl grey
NEEDLES:
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 4 MM: Length 80 cm.
DROPS CABLE NEEDLE – for cables.
KNITTING TENSION:
21 stitches in width and 28 rows in height with stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm.
NOTE: Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller needle size.

START THE PIECE HERE:

CUSHION-COVER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked in the round bottom up, with cables. The cover is sewn together top and bottom to finish.
COVER:
Cast on 190 stitches with circular needle size 4 mm and DROPS Lima.
Insert 1 marker at the beginning of the round and 1 marker after 95 stitches (= sides). Knit 1 round and purl 1 round.
Work the next round as follows: Repeat A.1 19 times in width. Continue this pattern. NOTE! Round 9 starts 1 stitch before the beginning of the round. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
Work until the piece measures approx. 26 cm; adjust so you finish after a complete repeat in height. Knit 1 round and purl 1 round, then cast off with knit.
ASSEMBLY:
Lay the piece flat, with the markers in the sides and the openings at the top and bottom.
Sew together the bottom opening along the cast-on edge. Insert the inner cushion and sew together the top opening along the cast-off edge.
