BLANKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked back and forth with circular needle.
BLANKET:
Cast on 84-132 stitches with circular needle size 4.5 mm and Merino Extra Fine.
Work 4 RIDGES back and forth – read description above (= 8 knitted rows).
Knit 1 row from the right side. On the next row from the wrong side work 4 stitches in garter stitch, purl the row until there are 4 stitches left and 4 stitches in garter stitch.
Now work pattern as follows (the first row is from the right side): 4 stitches in garter stitch, work pattern according to diagram A.1 until there are 8 stitches left (= 9-15 repeats in width), work pattern A.2 and finish with 4 stitches in garter stitch. The pattern includes decreases on rows 1 and 5, with the same number of stitches increased on rows 3 and 7.

Now work the first 4 rows in the diagrams 1 more time, then knit 2 rows stocking stitch with 4 stitches in garter stitch each side. Work 4 ridges (= 8 knitted rows) and cast off with knit on the next row.
