50 g colour 26, hot pink
50 g colour 29, apple green
1 heart weighs approx. 13 g.
CROCHET TENSION:
14 double crochets in width = 10 x 10 cm.
CROCHET HOOK:
DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 5 mm
Hook size is only a suggestion! If you have too many stitches on 10 cm switch to larger hook. If you have too few stitches on 10 cm switch to smaller hook.

EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN:

CROCHET INFORMATION:
At the beginning of every round work 1 chain stitch, this is in addition to stitches on round. At the end of round work 1 slip stitch in first double crochet at beginning of round.
CROCHET TIP:
If you work at the end of crochet hook the chain stitch will often be too tight.
1 chain stitch should be just as long as 1 double crochet is wide.
WORK 2 DOUBLE CROCHETS TOGETHER:
Work 2 double crochets together into 1 double crochet as follows: Insert hook in first/next stitch, pull thread through, insert hook in next stitch, pull thread through, make a yarn over and pull thread through all 3 loops on hook (= 1 stitch decreased).

START THE PIECE HERE:

HEARTS – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
Work hearts in the round, bottom up. First work bottom part, then divide piece and crochet each of the 2 parts at the top of heart separately.
HEART:
Use crochet hook size 5 mm and Snow. Read CROCHET TIPS in explanation above.
Work 2 chain stitches, then work 1st round in the first of these 2 chain stitches as follows:
ROUND 1: Work 4 double crochets in 1st chain stitch and finish round with 1 slip stitch in first double crochet worked.
ROUND 2: READ CROCHET INFO! Work 2 double crochets in every double crochet the entire round = 8 double crochets.
ROUND 3: Work 1 double crochet in first double crochet, * 2 double crochets in next stitch, 1 double crochet in next stitch *, work from *-* until 1 double crochet remains and work 2 double crochets in last double crochet = 12 double crochets.
ROUND 4: Work 1 double crochet in each of the next 2 double crochets, * 2 double crochets in next stitch, 1 double crochet in the next 2 stitches *, work from *-* until 1 double crochet remains and work 2 double crochets in last double crochet = 16 double crochets.
ROUND 5: Work 1 double crochet in each of the next 3 double crochets, * 2 double crochets in next stitch, 1 double crochet in the next 3 stitches *, work from *-* until 1 double crochet remains and work 2 double crochets in last double crochet = 20 double crochets.
ROUND 6: Work 1 double crochet in every stitch = 20 double crochets.
Now divide the piece, work only over the first stitches of heart as follows:
ROUND 7: Work 1 double crochet in each of the first 10 double crochets, fold piece so that round can be finished with 1 slip stitch in the first of these 10 double crochets.
ROUND 8: Work 1 double crochet in every stitch.
ROUND 9: Work 1 double crochet in every stitch.
ROUND 10: Read WORK 2 DOUBLE CROCHETS TOGETHER in explanation above, work 2 double crochets together the entire round = 5 double crochets. Let the yarn end be approx. 10 cm before cutting it and pulling it through last loop. Fill heart with some cotton wool.
Now one part of heart is finished, now work the 10 double crochets not worked on the 7th round.
Begin round with 1 slip stitch in last stitch on round before piece was divided (last stitch on 6th round). NOTE! Make sure that yarn from beginning is approx. 10 cm long, and that it is on the outside of piece - use this for assembly.
ROUND 7: Work 1 double crochet in every double crochet the entire round and finish with 1 slip stitch in the first double crochet.
ROUND 8: Work 1 double crochet in every stitch.
ROUND 9: Work 1 double crochet in every stitch.
Fill heart with some cotton wool.
ROUND 10: Read WORK 2 DOUBLE CROCHETS TOGETHER in explanation above, work 2 double crochets together the entire round = 5 double crochets. Let the yarn end be approx. 10 cm before cutting it and pulling it through last loop. Fill with more cotton wool if needed.
ASSEMBLY:
Use yarn from the top to baste together hole at the top of each part. Use yarn from beginning of last part to sew together opening between the 2 parts.
