-------------------------------------------------------

CHAIN STITCH:
If you work outermost on the hook the chain stitch will often be too tight; 1 chain stitch should be as long as 1 double/treble/double-treble crochet is wide.

CROCHET INFO:
At the beginning of each round of double crochets, replace the first double crochet with 1 chain stitch; round finishes with 1 slip stitch in this chain stitch.
At the beginning of each round of treble crochets, replace the first treble crochet with 3 chain stitches; round finishes with 1 slip stitch in the 3rd of these chain stitches.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 to A.3.

COLOURS:
Work with 2 strands of each colour.
A.1:

CHANGING COLOUR:
For a neat colour-change, work the last slip stitch on the round with the new colour.

CROCHETING TOGETHER:
Work 2 treble crochets together to 1 stitch as follows: Work 1 treble crochet in the stitch below but wait with the last pull-through (= 2 loops on hook). Work 1 more treble crochet in the same stitch and pull the last yarn over through all loops on the hook.

AFTER FELTING:
If the piece is not felted enough and is too big: Wash the piece one more time in the washing machine while it is still wet add a terry towel that measures approx. 50 x 70 cm - NOTE: Do not use a short program.
If the piece has been felted too much and is too small: While the piece is still wet stretch it to the correct measurements, if the piece is dry, make sure to soak it first.
