DROPS crochet shawl in “Silke-Alpaca”.

Measurements:
Width: approx 170 cm [66.75"]
Length: approx 80 cm [31½"]

Materials: DROPS Silke-Alpaca from Garnstudio
500 g colour no 1101, white
250 g colour no 6305, grey-turquoise

DROPS crochet hook size 5 mm [US H/8] - or size needed to obtain 7 vertical rows = 4". Note! Measure crochet gauge in the st direction and not along middle of shawl.

Pattern: See diagram M.1.

Colour change: 5 rows white, 9 rows grey-turquoise, 3 rows white, 2 rows grey-turquoise, 7 rows white, 2 rows grey-turquoise, 3 rows white, 2 rows grey-turquoise, 8 rows white.

Shawl: Crochet 6 ch with crochet hook size 5 mm [US H/8] with white and form a ring with a sl st in first ch. Continue in M.1 and stripes – see above. Continue in M.1 with inc like this. Note! On every 3rd row crochet 4 dc-groups in the middle ch, not 2. Discontinue inc after row 15 and now crochet 2 dc-groups in the middle ch until finished measurements.
Cut the thread and fasten end after the last row = 41 rows in total.

Border: Crochet a border with crochet hook size 5 mm [US H/8] and white along both sides as follows: 1 sc, 3 ch, skip next dc group, 2 sc in next ch, *2 ch, skip next dc group, 2 sc in next ch*, repeat from *-* and finish with 3 ch, skip 1 dc group and 1 sc.
