Bon tricot!

Dear Mrs Morris, you will decrease only the stitches on lower foot: work until 2 stitches remain before the 25 sts for upper foot, knit 2 sts twisted together, work the 25 sts for upper foot, knit 2 sts together (= 2 stitches decreased). Repeat this decrease round every other round a total of 7 times = 42 sts remain. Happy knitting!

Dear Donna, you should work until piece measures 8" from the marker on heel, but adjust these measurement so that you worked the last row in M.1, ie you might have to work some more or few less rows, but you should finish a whole M.1 in height before starting M.2 and decrease for toe. I believe that the "NOTE! On last row from WS dec as follows: ... 1 st in each of the K4-section by K2 tog" is an error. I think it should be "... 1 st in each of the four K3-sections by K2 tog". By your usage (and common usage), K4 means KNIT 4, and there are no K4-sections in any part of the pattern. Is my interpretation correct? If so, I hope you will clarify the pattern for others.

Hi there. I am on the heel flap. i am making the middle size. This is ribbed over 5.5cm on 27 stitches. The pattern tells me that for this size, on the WS, I must decrease one stitch in the first and the last knit section. That leaves me with 25 stitches because I have decreased by two stitches. However, the pattern then goes on to say I must now have 23 stitches. Confused?

Dear Vennie, after ribbing, you work K3/P3 over the 24 sts as before, then K6, M1 and K3 over the remaining sts on round = 48 sts until piece measures 1½''. Work heel back and forth over the 27 sts dec sts as explained for your size. Happy knitting!

Hoi Sonia.
