Very confused. I’m starting with Round 11. I have 17 tr in my leaf at the end of round 10. However I am supposed to Slip stitch the chain 3 which is my first tr for the round and then continue with the next 15 tr before I chain 4 and so on. After the the slip stitch I have 16 tr left and not 15. What am I doing wrong. Even if I skip the first tr in the next leaf I still have 16 tr. What am I doing wrong?

Dear Meena, replace the first tr on the round with 3 chains as before, that way you will have 3 chains (= 1st tr) + 1 treble in each of the next 14 tr = 15 tr for each tr group. Happy crocheting!

I loved to make the tree skirt, but I am also unable to find the converstion/other pattern for this.

Dear Mrs Newsom, not sure what you mean with conversion, there is only a written pattern to this Christmas rug. You can find other rug patterns here. Happy crocheting!

Nevermind ! I just realized that I was reading the UK directions rather than the US, so now I understand the picot directions. The pattern has turned out beautifully ! Made this one for my daughter but now I want one for myself - thank you again for the lovely pattern and hope to see this in the future as a Christmas tree skirt with a slit or larger hole in the center.

I am on the last row doing the pivot but it does not look like the picture of the pattern. In each chain space I have 3 dc, then 3 more dc in the 3 children, then 3 more dc. So that gives three groups of 3 dc in each chain space. Is that correct ?

I am wondering if this pattern was ever converted to a tree skirt pattern ? If not, I will make this one and set the tree on top of it. Thank you, as always, for the lovely patterns.

Hej.

The ch loop is not a specific chain made but rather the whole sequence of chains? so the sc should be made around the sequence of chains rather than in a specific chain, correct?
08.12.2012 kl. 20:27:DROPS Design answered:
Dear Gaby, you are right ch-loop means a ch-space which can have 3, 4, 5 etc... ch. Happy crocheting !

Making this pattern and also struggling from round 12. Where is the ch loop specifically? Can't work out where it is in ch from previous and current round. As a result the. Far edge of each petal is incorrect and wider than it should be. Help please?
03.12.2012 kl. 18:53:DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Bartlett, on round 11, you have 2 4-ch-loops in the 2-ch-loop from round 10. On round 12, you will have a total of 3 ch-loops: 4ch, dc (uk) in the first 4ch loop from previous round, 5ch, dc(uk) in the next 4ch loops, 4ch, skip 1 tr, 1tr in the next tr .... Happy crocheting !
