Dear Debbie, this is the only format of the pattern available. If you have trouble understanding crochet charts, you can check the following lesson: https://www.garnstudio.com/lesson.php?id=69&cid=19.

Bon crochet!

Dear Mrs Moore, the tunic is entirely worked with 2 strands, Alpaca = 50g/167 m and Cotton Viscose = 50 g /100 m, ie they don't have same lenght for 50 g, that's why you need more balls Cotton Viscose to get the same lenght in both qualities. Happy crocheting!

30.08.2013 kl. 12:24:DROPS Design answered:
Hoi Lydia.

Bon crochet !

I am having a hard time understanding this pattern I know it is worked in the round but why not number the rows and I dont understand. I love this tunic and I really want to make it but find it very confusing and easy to lose track of it. Please help

Hi Mary, there is a lot going on in this pretty pattern. When you buy original Garnstudio yarn though, you can be sure that you have bought yarn from a store that are specialized on DROPS patterns, and you will get all the help you may need. Our stores are always there to give their customers help, in store, by phone or email

Nisha, you have 7 ch loops with 1 tr (US dc) between each, you inc 4 tr, så now you have a total of 144 sts, ie 70 ch plus 74 tr's (US dc's).

I don't understand how I am supposed to increase from 70 chain loops to 144 dc/ch. What does dc/ch supposed to mean?

Ignore last message! Figured it out, got my language confused with ch-loop and dc/ch. Makes better sense in the norwegian pattern!

I'm using the yarn as per the pattern. I have come across my next problem now-after the increase under the arm, I'm supposed to go from 80 chain loops to 162 dc/ch, increasing 2 evenly on round. That will take 40 rounds and make for a very long top! Will it not make more sense to increase by 6 dc evenly on round, , then start mussel pattern. This is the first of your patterns I'm using, no Drops shop near me.

Hi Heidi Are you using 2 strands of the original yarn? Different yarn have different stretch. Please contact a DROPS shop for further help.

I have given up on following the pattern on the neckline, it seems no matter how loosely I chain, it's impossible to get a head through once the first few rows are done. In the end I chained 72 (size M) and single chroceted 1 row with a 7mm hook, and then started M1 with a 5mm hook.

I’m not a fan. This pattern is so confusing. Maybe it’s the translation? “Tr” for treble? Meaning double? So many inconsistencies and confusing elements (one solid block of instructions instead of row by row). I won’t be making another Drops pattern. Sorry, just trying to give honest feedback. This is a beautiful tunic and the pattern could do much easier to understand.
