Bon tricot!

My question is, if I'm doing the XL sweater, then I do 11 rows of decrease. From 168 stitches, that leaves 80 stitches. I"m not sure how I'm supposed to get 58 stitches from that. "After all dec for raglan and neck are complete = 50-52-54-58-60 sts left." Also second question is, picking up the neck stitches, shouldn't that just be the 20 stitches I have on the yarn place holder? "Now pick up approx 14 to 24 sts" (Seems like this should be 12-22?)
14.11.2019 kl. 18:33:DROPS Design answered:
Dear Sonya, neck will be shaped while raglan decreases are not finished, so that you will decrease 8 sts x2 + 8 sts x 9 = 88 sts for raglan + for neck: 20 sts on a thread + dec 1 st on each side = 22 sts for neck in total. There were 168 sts - 88 - 22 = 58 sts remain. You will then pick up sts for neck: 1 st in the decreased st + the 20 sts on a thread + 1 st in the decreased st = 22 sts for neck + 58 sts remain at the end of yoke = 80 sts. Happy knitting!

In the pattern, it says: When piece measures 10 cm dec 1 st before the first and third marking thread and 1 st after the second and fourth marking thread (= 4 dec per round). Repeat the inc on every 5-5-5½-5-5 cm a total of 6-6-6-7-7 times = 72-80-88-100-108 sts on round. I'm confused-- it says to decrease 4 times, but then to repeat the increase. Am I supposed to decrease or increase?
06.10.2015 kl. 18:55:DROPS Design answered:
Dear Caitlin, repeat the dec (typo that will be corrected asap), so that you had 96-104-112-128-136 sts and get then 72-80-88-100-108 sts. Happy knitting!

Hello! After the initial 6cm of ribbing at the beginning of the pattern, the pattern then states "When piece measures 10 cm dec 1 st before the first and third marking thread and 1 st after the second and fourth marking thread (= 4 dec per round)." Is the 10 cm inclusive of the 6cm of ribbing, or is it 10cm *from* the ribbing? Many thanks!

Dear Mrs Snell, the 10 cm are from cast on edge, ie from the beginning, including ribbing. Happy knitting!

Dear Fannie, I'm not sure about your question, the mid 12-22 sts you slip on a thread for neck are the mid front sts. Happy knitting!

Thank you but I'm not sure about this part too. . At the same time, when piece measures 69-72-75-78-81 cm put the middle 12-14-16-20-22 sts on a thread for neck and dec 1 st on neckline on next row. After all dec for raglan and neck are complete = 50-52-54-58-60 sts left. Why do we have to put on a thread? And the 20 st, is it on the front? And all the dec. are they supposed to be done at this point? I' m a little bit lost.
18.12.2012 kl. 12:55:DROPS Design answered:
Dear Fannie, when you have all sts on the needle (yoke), you will dec for the raglan as stated (= 8 dec per round), every 4th round then every other round (see size for how many times). While shaping raglan and decreasing, you will put the middle sts on a thread (or st holder) and continue back and forth on the remaining sts, decreasing at the same time for neckline + continuing shaping raglan as stated if not finished yet. Happy Knitting !

Dear Fannie, you should dec 8 sts per round for raglan - as stated, but at the same time, when piece measures 69-81 cm (see size), you have to start dec for neckline. You should have 50-60 sts (see size) left when all dec raglan + neckline are done. Happy knitting !

My comment is the same as the previous persons, the middle set of sts when marking is written wrong still on the UK pattern, it should be 32 and not 16 sts to make up the correct number of sts.

The decreases in this pattern did not match up to the number of stitches that were cast on. I checked the original version hoping to catch something and found that on the third marking thread the amount to knit before it was wrong it says 32-34-36-42-46 not 16-17-18-21-23. I hope that is right because I don't know how else it is suppose add up according to the number of cast on stitches.
