Hi, Thanks for all your wonderful patterns and tutorials! Several of your patterns have a hemmed front band with the instructions, "remember buttonholes on the piece in stocking sts to be folded towards WS!" Do I need to make two buttonholes that match up when the band is folded towards the wrong side? Do you have a tutorial of this technique? Thanks again, Amy

Hi Amy! You need to make two buttonholes that match up when the band is folded towards the wrong side. We don't have any tutorial on this subject. Happy knitting!

Hi, You recommend DROPS Alpaca as a substitute for the discontinued Camelia. I have been told that, generally, an Alpaca sweater tends to grow/stretch in length over time. Does that hold true for the DROPS Alpaca yarn as well? If so, by about how much (percentagewise?)? Can this be avoided by another one of the suitable DROPS yarns?

Dear Mrs Gade, when you have worked your swatch, wash and block it to get the correct measurements (as you will wash your garment - see label how to wash it) - to calculate new amount of yarn, see here. Remember your DROPS store will always have tips & advices for you, you can contact them even per mail or telephone. Happy knitting!

Hi, The front of the cardigan is to be cut from the very bottom to the top. So should the extra five stiches for the steek not be added at the very beginning when casting on and not after having knit the bottom border? Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks, Silke

Dear Mrs Gade, the jacket is worked in the round after the edge, ccast on the given number of sts and work the edge, then continue with larger needle and work M.1 at the same time on 1st row in M.1 inc sts evenly and cast on 5 sts on mid front (steek sts). Happy knitting!

Hi, Would you be able to tell me how many metres per 50 g your discontinued Camelia yarn ran so I can calculate the amount necessary for a replacement yarn? Thank you, Silke
