Looking at the picture, the Olive band at the bottom is 3-5" The pattern says to switching to yellow after 1.5"/4cm. There's no mention of doing a row of either coral or wine and a row of yellow and a row of C or W before switching to yellow as is shown in the picture THIS SECTION MAKES NO SENSE: After M.1 knit next row as follows: 5 sts in yellow, M.2, 112 (126) sts in yellow, M.2 but knit the repeat from left to right, 5 sts in yellow. Caston is 184 stitches. What repeat?

Dear MJ, after the garter stitch edge you will work stocking stitch, then when piece measures 4 cm you will work diagram M.1 (this diagram includes the stripes with coral and yellow), then after the last row in M.1 you work with yellow that way: 5 sts yellow, work now diagram M.2 (read from the right towards the left from RS/from the left towards the right from WS), work some stitches in yellow, work M.2 reversed (= read from the left towards the right from RS and from the right towards the left from WS) and finish with 5 sts in yellow; that way you will work the pattern with the flowers on each front piece but not over back piece. Happy knitting!

Thank you! M1 is usually “make 1” hence the confusion
