Hi , you should have 55 sts in size M: cast on 22 sts, increase 1 stitch for neck: every other row 4 times + every 4th row 8 times + every other row 12 times + every 4th row 2 times = 4+8+12+2=26 sts increased for neck), then increase for armhole: 4+3 sts= 7 sts. Then decrease on the side 3 sts and increase 3 sts on the same side. There were 22+26+7-3+3=55 sts. Can this help?

Dear Liz, this means that for the next 4 rows you will have to work as before over all stiches but knit the last 6 sts from RS/first 6 stitches from WS (= towards armhole/side). Can this help?
