Dear Mrs Suk, since you are working in the round and not in rows as in the pattern you have to choose to either decrease evenly on every 4th round (= on every other P round) or then star to decrease on 3rd round in garter st (= knit round) and then on every 4th round as explained (= on every other K round). Dear Mrs Hundebol, you first work moss stitch, then when piece measures 20-21 cm work in garter stitch, and at the same time, start to decrease every 4th row as explained = end./top of hat is worked with garter stitch, not with moss stitch. Happy knitting!

Dear Sophia it is very important that you check, and adhere to to the knitting gauge/ tension that is given in the pattern. If your hat is too small, and it is stands up instead of slouching, your gauge is probably too small, meaning, you knit to thightly. If this is the case, you can correct it by using larger needles. You can also try to block out the hat that is already made (if you would try something before you frog it). Just soak it into lukewarm water and pull it over something (I often use a ball or an upturned bowl). I hope thishelps. Happy crafting!

Bon tricot!

I am knitting this in the round. So I knit one row and purl one row in the round. But the pattern says " GARTER ST (back-and-forth on needle) K all rows. 1 ridge = K2 rows." What Does this mean? Also, how many rows do you knit in garter stitch before decreasing ?? what is the actual total amount of Rows knitted in garter stitch? Thank you!
04.02.2016 kl. 17:32:DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Heyduck, when working garter st in the round, you repeat *K1 round, P1 round*, but the hat is here worked back and forth, so that you will K all rows to get garter st. You work then in garter st when piece measures 20-21 cm and work a total of 24 rows decreasing every 4th row as explained. Happy knitting!

Når I i instruktionsvideoen for dobbelt perlestrik beskriver det som 1. pind: 2 vr, 2 r 2. pind: r over r og vr over vr. 3. pind: r over vr og vr over r. 4. pind strikker du som 2.p.
